My fiancée had her medical exam and x-ray on October 28th. The day before, she took in her request for the police certificate. We thought the certificate processing would take 2-3 weeks, but it was done that day (the only other country she's lived in is the U.S.). Now, we're waiting for the medical report to be sent in to the consulate, so that her interview can be scheduled. They only conduct K-1 interviews on Tuesdays, so it could be weeks before an appointment. It would be great to have it scheduled this month, but we're trying to remain patient, since everything else has gone much more quickly than we anticipated.

Tamcloud, I noticed you're also in Maryland, where do you plan to do your P.O.E.? We're choosing New York, they're direct flights from Ukraine to JFK at decent prices. Good luck getting that interview date, I'm sure it'll be soon!

Will my fiance need the actual NOA2 letter for his interview and at the port of entry into the states? I sent him a copy of it in the package with my I-134 form. What originals will he need of mine, besides everything with a signature (I-134, letter of intent, etc.)?

Doesn't seem like your question has been answered so I will give you my 2 cents :)

From what I've heard they have your NOA2 on file at the embassy however I'm bringing a copy myself just in case. At the POE I - again - will bring everything however it should only be necessary to show the granted visa in your passport?

Originals for the interview will only be the ones with signatures

Our Visa Journey (L) (See our Immigration timeline for a very detailed K-1 and AOS process)

08/17/2015 - I-129F petition/packet sent off
12/17/2015 - Visa Interview in Sweden. We're APPROVED!!!

03/21/2016 - Got married @ town hall
03/22/2016 - AOS, EAD, AP packet sent off
08/03/2016 - Became a Conditional Permanent Resident
05/07/2018 - ROC packet sent off

06/12/2019 - ROC approved (no RFE, no transfer, no interview)

You're forgetting the sealed envelope. Forget that and you'll have trouble even getting into the country.

Hi Tag. Usually, she comes through BWI, with a connection through Philly (she connects through JFK when returning). There's a direct flight through Reagan, but that's further away and lousy traffic both ways. For us, customs will be managed in Bermuda, rather than on the U.S. end. Apparently, the woman at the medical facility that deals with the immigration reports is on vacation until next Thursday, so that's another week lost. Unfortunately, her horoscope indicates there will be complications related to a visa the last week of the month (really?!?), so, we want to avoid that time. LOL! Her birthday is the first week of December, so I'm hoping for that week with a happy birthday approval.

Good luck on your interview!!!

I already filled in the interview date, it's asking me to write a review too but it will have to wait - obviously lol

The medical examination went fine and I was just told that they would send off the paperwork to the embassy so I'm assuming there wasn't an issue? :)

The email that my fiance recieved from his the embassy just told him to create a profile on us travel documents website and the items needed for the interview just stated his birth certificate, divorce papers, and criminal record. There was nothing about medical exams or other affidavits. Anyone know whats going on? Should we be expecting to be contacted again by the embassy before his interview?

That sounds really weird - I would go check with the subforum for the country your fiancé is from. I couldn't imagine he wouldn't need to go to a medical examination prior to the Interview...

All K1 applicants must undergo a medical including your country. You should read the Consulate Information page for your country http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Venezuela&cty=Caracas . This lists in detail what's required for the packet and even is written not to expect an email with this. This page also links to the embassy's page and from there I found all the info you need should know about the medical in your country http://caracas.usembassy.gov/information-concerning-the-medical-examination-and-vaccines.html .

*ranting*

I feel so disappointed in the Embassy in Riyadh. We were sent packet 3 on October 4th and we gathered all the required documents for the interview including the medical and PCC and sent what they wanted back to the embassy to let them know we're ready. We sent by express mail on October 7th and they didn't even collect their mail from their P.O. Box until the 19th. After annoying them with emails because we were worried they confirmed they have all the documents they need from us and to wait until we're contacted. I don't know why they are taking so long to set an interview date. This is worse that waiting at any other stage of this visa process  . Other embassies seem to sort this out very quickly, but not in Saudi Arabia.
