we are starting to get all documents needed but i have a few questions about the affidavit of support if anyone can help us !!!,

1. by the time we might get the interview my fiance will only have 5 months at his job , will be better or necessary a Co-Sponsor?

2. he didn't filed taxes as he was living abroad , and was making less of the amount IRS requires to file .. with a sign letter will be enough ?

3. is it necessary the birth certificate or copy of all passport pages of Co Sponsor ?

AND forgot to ask the 4th question , my fiance rents a room at a house , w 2 more people does this count as household will this affect the income requirement ???

Got our NVC case number today. I've called before and they've never asked me any personal questions about the petition. When the operator began asking me questions, I knew we had it ?. She was very friendly and helpful. I hope everyone gets there case numbers soon. I wish you luck in whatever phase you guys are in your journey.

NOA 2 was on Sep 21 and NVC still doesn't recieve the case I see already people with the later NOA2 dates getting the case numbers

Our NOA2 was also September 21st and the papers havent gotten to NVC yet either. Im planning to call USCIS once 30 days are over to have them investigate. Keep us updated on when you get your NVC case please

Has anyone managed to get through to NVC today? I have been trying since yesterday and the automated response says "all of our customer service agents are busy with other callers, please try again later". I re-dialed about 10 times and the same response, it just hangs up afterwards. How are they busy with other callers if no-one can get through?

That was pretty common for me. Don't dial back right away, Wait 5 minutes and try your luck once more. Sometimes i got lucky and got through on the second or third call. Sometimes i got through on the 10th call.

They are open from 8am 12 midnight Eastern time. I always had easier time getting through either really early or really late in the day. But maybe that was just luck.

Eitherway just keep trying.

My petition has been "AT NVC" since Friday. How long does it usually take to leave?

We received our NOA-2 on 9/24/15. I'm very shocked to get a case number so soon. I know there are quite a few people still waiting.

To those who are attempting to call the NVC, keep calling. I literally called about 30 times until I finally got through. I was on hold for about 10 minutes, the operator came on and she was very patient and helpful.

I called today again, still nothing. They told me that it is now officialy 35 days for the delivery

We are waiting for the letter now from our consulate !

Question: Is it possible to change the consulate at the NVC stage? I'm a citizen of India but a resident of Toronto from last 3 years! The Montreal consulate is back logged with no date available for next 2-3 months. I filled Montreal in form i-129f but can I chnage it now? Will it be problem if they say that I am not a resident of India from last 3 years?

Turns out the representative was out sick, so there was a call back from the consulate, yesterday, and the information we needed was sent by email. OK, now we're working on setting appointments and gathering docs. Glad we're moving forward, again.
