I called NVC yesterday (30th day after approval, date is aug. 25th) to ask for our case number, no luck yet. but the lady i talked to escalated my case to their research department. She said it should already be on their system by now.. She gave me instructions to email a copy of I-797 to their research department and beneficiary/petitioner information on the body of the email.. So I will wait by next week if they will respond to my email or I'll just call midweek next wk..

I know patience is key in this process but Im stressing!! Having your loved one abroad is hard in many ways. I still have no approval ?my case was received Aug 19th! I called USCIS and NVC with no avail. I was told same thing 5 months before I should request an inquiry.

Nice one. Today marked a month since our NOA2, so I called and was told our case was sent to our consulate yesterday. We updated some details and added an extra email address. Of course, I totally forgot to ask for a case number, but I'll know in the next week or so once the consulate contacts us. I really don't want to spend another half hour on hold for it!!

it's our 35th day today after approval, been calling NVC, no luck yet.. I might request to talk to their supervisor,, they always have different answers.. the last person I talked to said it may take 42days, so i told him that I have been calling the NVC and you are the first person that said about 42 days, then he apologized for giving me the wrong information.. I just can't believe this people, they can't do their job right, it's just frustrating.. I know i can't do anything but to wait, plus it is me who needs something from them...

My fiancée just received the letter from the NVC. We didn't expect her to get it for another while but we got it. Now we're just waiting for Packet 3 from the embassy so we can get in contact with them.

That's odd, I think you guys are just having bad luck. But try to see it from a positive point of view, you didn't even have to wait 2 months for your petition to be approved when others had to wait 6-9+ months. The guy we talked to on the phone with NVC was very nice and seemed like he knew exactly what he was talking about. He even talked to my fiancée about everything that happens next. I hope you get a guy just like ours on the phone the next time. Good luck!
