But in the hard copy of the NOA2 it says that the case has been forwarded to the NVC, so i am not that stressed about it. Maybe they forgot to update the website haha.

Perhaps lol does it state a date it was sent off to NVC? We don't have our hardcopy just yet so I'm just curious

Nope just says

"Above petition has been approved. We have sent the official visa petition to the Departement of State National Visa Center (NVC), 32 Rochester Avenue, Porthsmouth. The USCIS has completed all actions; further inquiries should be directed to the NVC"

No dates, but i am hoping they sent it haha.

As i have been told, USCIS normally update the case status when they send the application to NVC.

Not gonna call NVC, it is too early, only 10 days ago i am not worried just curious.

You have to trust the process as to whether NVC has gotten the package as they normally do.

Need to give it at least 2-3 weeks before you are in the system. Calling now would be a waste of time.

I trust the process and i am not rushing anything. I will not be chasing NVC unless it gets close to the exp date of NOA2, i got other stuff to worry about

I was under the impression that we only have 4 months from the NOA2 date to have the interview.

My NOA2 was 8/25/15 and I recall that there was another date (perhaps labeled "expiration") that was 12/25/15.

Is it truly 1 year and not 4 months?

Your getting a bit confused.

They would like to have the interview completed within 4 months, so they "scare" you into completed the visa interview as they would like to keep the train on the tracks and moving as there is another train right behind yours so to say.

The application is open for one year and if no action on your part to complete the interview then they believe that the petition is dead. If you try after 1 year they will advise you to reapply and pay the fee's all over again.

I did understand, that you were not calling early but wanted to advise you and others as to when a good time to start calling NVC and to not waste your time.

Also, The "trust the process" was directed toward the other post that I had referred to from "mrsashko". You see there is a way to multi-post and so yours and "mrsashko" was in one reply. How it works is you can read my reply to you as well as the reply to "mrsashko" especially since the two of you were talking about NVC.

I received my NOA1 via the mail but I did not receive an email. I guess it doesnt matter too much for the NOA1 but don't they send you Package 3 via Email? Should I call to make sure they have my email address correct?

I am an august fillers also I am still waiting my receipt notice is august 28 but I received my NOA1 an mail september 4th. I see they made an updated in my case in august 31 on USCIS.gov. I sent it to texas when I received my notice it said california. I am still waiting for NOA2 fingers cross I hope I receive it next week. Lot of August fillers received their NOA2 already.

It's hit or miss with email. Did you fill out form G-1145 (e-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance when you submitted your application to USCIS)? Best tool to use is the myUCIS at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do. Here you can follow the progress of your submittals and update mailing address and profile. The other tool to get is the smartphone app for checking on the status of each step in the process you are on. Details below in my signature.

Packet 3 and 4 are mailed to you. Sometimes you can get it "early" by visiting your Embassy's website.

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Australia.

Those in this thread, are applying from various Embassies around the world and there are different processes for each. So what works in Russian, Philippines or UAE may not work for those processing through the Australia Embassy. When you are at the VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Australia most there will help answer your questions for the processing of your visa using their personal experience.

Get the Australia K1 Embassy Letter (EL) at http://canberra.usembassy.gov/nonimmigrant-visas/appointment-checklist.htmlas this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the EL as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

Hello everyone, I'm a little late to this sub-forum of August filers (I've only recently registered with VJ). But, I'd like to follow folks that started their process around the same time that we did, so...

Relationship: 18+ years (every time I see that number, I can't believe it)

I-129F sent (about) 08/09/2015

NOA1 receipt date 08/12/2015, notice date 08/14; hard copy received 08/22/2015

NOA2 received 09/14/2015; been out-of-town, so I don't know if the hard copy has arrived, though I doubt it has, just yet.

We chose to use a lawyer; an expensive option, but one that suited us.

Not sure what else to say, at this point...but I wish everyone success on their journey. :-)

Yesss ! For us too ! Noa2 Petition approved !! Sooooo happy !!!

It's weird, the application states that we got approved last thursday allready. But we didnt got any notification till today.
