Passport Book Number

Hey guys, my fiance and I are filling out the DS-160 form and it asks for a 'Passport Book Number', where would this be located in a Chinese passport?

Also the City of Issuance isn't listed on the passport either. Just the province of Jilin.

Also I have another question. My fiance received what I assume is packet 3? It's only asking for DS-160, copy of information page in passport, and 2 passport photographs. This is different than what is listed on ustraveldocs though.

The number should be in the top right corner on the first page. In Red probably an alpha character followed by eight numbers.

I would just put Jilin, as the place of issuance.

Thanks for the reply. I did some googling and found others had put the little black vertical number next to the photo on the info page. There was no red number on the first page just the passport number again but vertical.

We just put city where she had the passport assigned to.

This proves then that not all Chinese passports are created equal. Maybe my wife's is older.
