Why would you have to go through Seattle? There are plenty on the list closer to you.

Ok I'm obviously reading it wrong? When I type in the state that I want to go through it says Seattle?

Yes, you're reading it wrong, somehow. You would want to go through one of the ones in Montana, I would think. There are several listed.

You can bring just about everything... They don't like fresh fruits and veggies but the CBP were fine about our apples in the uHaul. If you're driving your own car you need a compliance letter and/or sticker on the vehicle to show it meets US compliance. There are plenty of topics about it in the Canada forum. If you have a loan on the vehicle you likely will have some issues. Make a general list of things you are bringing. ie: box 1 = books, box 2 = kitchen etc...

They didn't even look in our uhual or ask for our manifest, but it's good to have it.

Do you know how to get a vehicle compliance letter in Canada? Is it required if entering US by land?

if you are intending on importing your vehicle either you need the letter that say your vehicle is US compliant. Yes you need it by land. It would be rather difficult to import your vehicle if you were flying or using public transportation.
