I am a USC now. I want to file a petition for my parent. My sibling is under 21 at this time. When my parent gets approved does that get my sibling approved as well or will my parent have to file a seperate petiton after green card approval?

2. Does the under 21 age "freeze" at the time I apply or not ?

Thank you.

You can apply for a sibling and a LPR Parent can as well.

Nothing freezes.

Hi,

1. The petition for your parent will not include your sibling. Your LPR parent can file for unmarried children.

2. Age will not freeze when you file. CSPA applies when the PD becomes current, age is then determined under a formula.

Best of luck

Is it faster when a LPR parent files for unmarried children that for USC applying to unmarried siblings ?
