Does calling about interview dates help you at all in terms of getting ahead of someone who doesn't?

Nope..i dont think it makes any difference. But folks here are calling to build pressure on NVC and let them know that people are waiting.

Seems NVC has ignored us. :goofy:

Also sometime NVC delays sending email. So calling in the hope that they have already scheduled interview.

I say they take my long standing idea. At Case Complete NVC opens up the ustraveldocs.gov portal so you can schedule your own dang um interview. How about that. I mean why is it K1 can and you can't?

05/04/2015 - AOS+IV packages received (scan date)

05/15/2015 - IV fee money order payment confirmed

06/03/2015 - Checklist received: missing DS-260 form

06/19/2015 - DS-260 available online and submitted

07/31/2015 - Case Complete (107 days from arriving @NVC or 89 days from scan date)

08/25/2015 - Scheduled interview

09/21/2015 - Interview, approved!

10/02/2015 - Passport received

10/04/2015 - POE! (348 days from NOA1)

No it doesn't help you jump people in the queue. They log your call they know when you call that's it.

Still no interview.. May 12 CC

105 days

3 months 13 days..

I just called the NVC and asked if there are any slots available for September interview dates, and the lady told me that they are done with September and has already moved on to October! Hopefully we all get our interview dates in October!

March 31, 2015 - I-130 packet mailed through USPS express mail

April 1, 2015 - Packet Delivered

April 3, 2015 - NOA1, routed to Nebraska Service Center

April 6, 2015 - Payment of $420 cashed

April 9, 2015 - Hard copy of NOA1 received in the mail

May 19, 2015 - I-130 case APPROVED!!!

May 27, 2015 - Case sent to Department of State NVC

June 3, 2015 - Case received by NVC

June 16, 2015 - Case number obtained

June 17, 2015 - DS-261 choice of agent completed over the phone ( unable to sign in online )

June 20, 2015 - Received WELCOME LETTER (enclosed with AOS fee invoice and document cover sheet)

June 21, 2015 - Received IV invoice fee through email ( still unable to sign in online )

June 25, 2015 - Mailed payments of both AOS and IV fee (two separate money order from USPS in one envelope, overnight delivery)

June 30, 2015 - Received email confirmation, both AOS and IV payment received

July 2, 2015 - Called NVC and confirmed AOS and IV shows PAID and Cleared in their system ( since i can't log in online )

July 2, 2015 - Mailed documents (overnight), only to find out NVC is close today (july 3), so package is held in the NH post office, scheduled delivery updated to july 6

July 5, 2015 - Finally able to sign in to CEAC website and filled up DS 260 and SUBMITTED!!!

July 6, 2015 - SCAN DATE

July 27, 2015 - CASE COMPLETE!

August 24, 2015 - Interview schedule assigned

September 24, 2015 - INTERVIEW DATE at US EMBASSY MANILA, PHILIPPINES

APPROVED!

September 28, 2015 - Visa Packet received (picked up at 2GO SM MOA branch)

October 10, 2015 - ENTRY IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, reunited with my wife finally!!! 

I- 751 timeline:

July 13, 2017 - Packet mailed to CSC via USPS express mail

July 15, 2017 - Packet delivered

July 19, 2017 - Check cashed (personal check $680)

July 21, 2017 - Received I-797, Notice of Action (dated 7/15/15, 8:57pm)

July 29, 2017 - Received biometrics appointment notice dated 7/21/17, appointment is on Aug 9.

November 15, 2018 -  CASE APPROVED

Bad news, they told me that they don't have more slots for interviews on September, they are waiting for starting schedule October, but they didn't startet yet.

I don't understand that my inlaws are category IR-5 and had their interview scheduled on May, almost a month

and a week from having their case completed and I that i have a higher category it's taking so much time.

I don't understand this...

Just one more crazy, illogical thing with the US immigration process....

Feb 1st 2016 - Sent more in-depth info on assets as requested. Received the next morning

Awww, thanks dwheels, we all need that. This is the most frustrating process ever! At least we all understand what it's like to go through this with the person you love the most and to be apart from your other half while we wait. I can't wait for it all to be bloody over!

I meen almost no appointment except for very few ppl?

So what's a person to do for travel arrangements?

I get limited time off, let's say I get two weeks off in October or November. I fly to India a day before the interview to be there to support my wife. Let's say she gets approved, but then we might be left hanging until the visa is printed and couriered. I hope to have my wife travel with me to the US.

How does one go about booking a last minute flight; it'll be so expensive.

That's why I hate this uncertainty.. at NVC, and at the embassy.
