Hmmmm..this is interesting. I emailed the Montreal Consulate this afternoon and two hours later I received a response. I specifically inquired about the status of my case and how long to an interview since my case was closed July 22, 2015. (CR-1)

This was their response:

" Our records indicate that your file is with the National Visa Center. You may contact the NVC with your inquiry. We can not help you at this point. We hope this information is useful."

It is helpful actually...according to the Montreal consulate the delay is from the NVC.....

We asked the same question. That's also the reply we received.

I am updating the spreadsheet. All those April May dates. I so hate when people don;t come back and update. Or worst have no Timeline. No timeline deleted. There's way too many old dates on here and I ain't seeing these people talking here so where are they.

Then there's the people who change their names. Ughhhh.

as i know NVC is delaying all interviews its not embassy my case was expedited due to medical issue but on aug 19 i contacted embassy regarding interview date they said we didn't received physically file from nvc but on aug 20 embassy opened at 7 am and i checked my status at 7:30 it was updated mean they got the file and within 2 hr i got interview email so embassy is doing there work but NVC is delaying

I called the NVC today and I was only told that they have a certain amount of slots per embassy and that its on a first come first serve basis based off of your case complete date...

I dont know if there is any possibility of getting an end of September date...the end of next week is supposedly the start of october scheduling (if they even start then) I've had my eye glued to my e-mail every second since my case complete and man....shoot i wish I could have a date even if it were way in December, but at least a date to look forward to, instead of being on this endless wait.
