Ok this calms my nerves a bit. I also tried emailing but the only answer I got was they don't know anything and I should contact the NVC for any information.

I'm also having a hard time believing the Stockholm embassy would be busy with our kind of visa. It's probably more busy with K1's and that's a complete different story.

I'm crossing my fingers!!!

Yea, lets cross our fingers and keep each other updated! Ill let you know what they answer tomorrow. It WILL happen..

And I also have a hard time believing they get a lot of cr1 or ir1s....

Can anyone tell if it would be a problem if the petiotioner(me) changes employment during this stage (waiting for interview).

Is like my whole life is in pause because of NVC.

Thanks in advance.

I had heard Tunisia and Yemen have like one of the worst systems and embassies as far as keeping things logged. I am sorry I didn't investigate deeper and give you a better answer than "Nothing to worry about".

I swear I wasn't making light of the matter really thought it was more a glitch in website update.

Just stay on the embassy and bombard them until they say, we have it come on in.

Yemens embassy was closed a few months back and I'm pretty sure it never opened back up yet as far as I know .

Right lol jordan 19, and I'm at 60, and other people are at 6 months for jordan already .

That's based on the data on the "CC to Interview" spreadsheet for the last 3 years. It's an average, but the bars indicate the range of dates for each country.

By the way, have you been able to get a refund for the $325 fee you paid online aswell? I'd like to get that refund but haven't asked the NVC yet, I'm afraid it will delay things even more.

So if that data from CC to interview spreadsheet is based on averages for petitioners from each country over the past three years, almost every country is much further behind right now than they usually are.

It would be interesting to know why that is. It doesn't seem like the NVC or the embassies are acknowledging that the time from Case Complete to Interview is increasing. What's really going on?

Hey Guys,

So it turns out I was not worrying unncessarily yesterday. My husband's interview was supposed to be today.. but they basically turned him away because they said our case was not in the system and no appointment had been scheduled (even though he brought a copy of the appointment letter) yet and our case is still "in transit"..He said they took a copy of his passport..wrote down his email address and phone number and told him it would be 10-15 days before they called him to reschedule. I find this completely unacceptable. I know the package is there.. I tracked it from the NVC.. Help?! what are my next steps

I feel devastated..this was supposed to be a happy day :(

Please don't feel bad, I'm dealing with the same incompetence of the tunisian embassy.

I field for an expedite request in the end of June, i was sure that it will be approved due to a medical emergency that i was going through, it took them 1 whole month to approve and now it's been 3 weeks since they received the case and no interview yet

nope not at all when ur spouse goes to the appointment just have them say you switched jobs, bring an employment letter and pay stubs if you happen to have any by that time but if u don't just have ur boss write a employment letter saying blah blah works for me since blah blah date making so and so and hour and an estimated so and so a year and you'll be fine will need to take a new 864 to the interview probably as well if your current annual income will be drastically different . Hope that made sense .

Who's waiting for interview dates? (Updated today, August 20)

The dashed line indicates the time between case complete and scheduling.

The solid line is time between scheduling and interview date.

No line means no interview scheduled yet!

ps. Some cases might not show interview scheduling or date simply because they haven't been updated.

Incompetent is the perfect word to describe this embassy and it's workers. I have had no luck getting a response to my emails .. and when I try to call I am transferred to a voicemail box that is always full..It's so frustrating/infuriating.

My husband ever the optimist..said it's ok..that it was good he got to sit there for hours and watch the other interviews because he said it made him feel more prepared for when it is finally our turn...and he saw them ask another man to get a more current copy of his marriage certificate..so while waiting..we're going to do the same because ours is 2 years old.

I am trying to keep my faith strong and be positive..but the lack of control I have over this situation makes me crazy. I don't like waiting. I would have felt better..if they had said not today but come back in a week...

Does anyone think calling the NVC at this point would do any good? Would they have any information on where our file is if it's still showing "in transit" ?

Hmmmm..this is interesting. I emailed the Montreal Consulate this afternoon and two hours later I received a response. I specifically inquired about the status of my case and how long to an interview since my case was closed July 22, 2015. (CR-1)

This was their response:

" Our records indicate that your file is with the National Visa Center. You may contact the NVC with your inquiry. We can not help you at this point. We hope this information is useful."

It is helpful actually...according to the Montreal consulate the delay is from the NVC.....
