I feel so very bad for "Marti". It is very disconcerting to me that when we do EVERYTHING we are supposed to and things like this happen. The only answer is a "sorry, you will need to reschedule."...that is completely unacceptable.

As for the rest of us waiting for interviews; it seems like the pattern of CC to interview from months previously is legitimately delayed this month for all of us. Like so many of us, I would like to know if there is a significant glitch at the moment or is this a crazy fluke?

We will be contacting our local politicians as well. Thank you to everyone who as been posting the results of their conversations and emails.

There is power with knowledge.

When you call the NVC do you choose option 7 on the menu, i.e. inquiries about interview? I chose that option and once I asked about the scheduling she connected me to the regular customer service with the "20" min wait time. So annoying

Strange.. Yea its number 7. first 1 for english, then 7 in the menu, then 1 to confirm you wanna talk to someone.

You bring up a good point about the package..

I have emailed them..and also the Senator and Congressman this afternoon..so I hope that will spur things into action.

I saw in the consulate review sections for our embassy this has happened at least twice before.. each time the file was at the embassy just not in the system at the time of the scheduled interview for some reason.

It's just so frustating. My husband traveled 2 hours and waited all day to be just turned away. Not to mention I was hoping we would be together for our 2nd anniversary on Sept 2nd.. that doesn't seem very likely now.

I had heard Tunisia and Yemen have like one of the worst systems and embassies as far as keeping things logged. I am sorry I didn't investigate deeper and give you a better answer than "Nothing to worry about".

I swear I wasn't making light of the matter really thought it was more a glitch in website update.

Just stay on the embassy and bombard them until they say, we have it come on in.

Are the interview slots allotted month wise ,for eg all the completed cases of July will be allotted October and those of August will be allotted nov and so on?

The fill in the slots they are given until they either run out of petitions or they run put of slots. So it should be in Case Complete order.

The thing is no one but them knows how many slots are given for that particular Visa category.

I tried again and the new lady wanted to talk to me. Unfortunately no interview yet *surprise surprise*. But she did say that she was almost sure they have finished scheduling for September. The embassy only has a number of slots every month and they might already be filled up she said. She also said that the cases are assigned after date of case complete.

I'm thinking Stockholm might have been filled up with other visa types for September. Maybe they only had a few dates due to vacation times and they started with F2A visas and ran out of dates before they got to CR1/IR1. I mean, I don't see many Swedes with CC in July in this forum, and even though I know there are others than us on VJ there must have been more dates. What du you think fridaab?

Hmm..

I did email the embassy yesterday and they said they haven't received any schedule for September from NVC yet. To me that sounds like NVC are not done. Plus we are like 5 swedes on VJ right now with case completes from the 15th of July to mid August. Weird if none of us would get a September appointment. Sweden has never really been a busy embassy if you look at the spreadsheet, never been an issue getting an appointment.

I have read that a member here was supposed to have her interview on July 15th or something, but she wanted to change it. The embassy said to just email them by the end of the month to get an interview the month after, whenever it was she wanted it. So they wouldn't even schedule her appointment which makes it look like they are not busy..

Ill email the embassy tomorrow again to make sure they haven't received the September schedule.

This is getting comical. Here are two responses, one from NVC and one from Montreal Consulate today:

MTL (via email) - "The National Visa Center (NVC) has not finalized the scheduling for September, yet. We are confident that the NVC will include your case in the September round of scheduling. We expect NVC to provide us the final calendar for September by next week."

NVC (over phone) - We have completed Sept and have sent it back to MTL. You will need to wait until MTL sends Oct and in order of priority it will be filled.

We have engaged our Congressional rep.

Ok this calms my nerves a bit. I also tried emailing but the only answer I got was they don't know anything and I should contact the NVC for any information.

I'm also having a hard time believing the Stockholm embassy would be busy with our kind of visa. It's probably more busy with K1's and that's a complete different story.

I'm crossing my fingers!!!
