September 2015 Interviews

My PD is September 30, 2013. My case spent a year at the NVC with RFE requests (4 times) over my AOS (two times there were no errors on my part and the other two had to do with boxes not correctly checked). It was approved July 22nd, 2015 (CR-1) and I have been waiting for an interview at the Montreal Consulate so I don't think they follow the PD whatsoever. I spent the past TWO anniversaries away from my husband....we were married August 1, 2013 and then started the paperwork three weeks later.

That sucks! I think they should expedite all cases where the NVC makes an error! I hope you get scheduled really quick!

Thank you :) It was not until I found this site that I realized that the year run around that I received was not normal that my husband and I became more vocal and proactive. If we had not called and spoken to a supervisor July 21st our case would STILL have been sitting at the NVC. The supervisor could not explain to us why our 4th submitted AOS was still sitting there since March, 2015 and had had not even been looked at....At this point we are are not looking for answers but for our results.

I do call the NVC every second day about my interview and they do record every time you call in :) Yes we are waiting like everyone else but we are just more vocal and proactive now. The supervisor we talked to last month said if we did not receive an interview by the end of August to call him directly back and he would specifically look into our case again. He gave us the hours he worked and his name and said to specifically request to speak to him.

He is the supervisor who looked into our case and helped us get a case complete on July 22nd in less than 4 hours!!

seriously .. any way I think now people are frustrated and pissed.

I'm one of them. 9 weeks and still nothing. I'm glad my wife is coming to Boston in a few weeks. Were just gonna wait for the interview here. I don't care if there going to schedule us for October/November.

I care and I need interview latest by October mid coz by Nov 1 my pcc from India will be expired and I don't know how many people I have to bribe to get a pcc from India.

bribing, show my teetha to people, hearing their sattire comments and people throwing my paper in my face ... that's what I have to deal with to get pcc from India

frro people said get ur visa and get lost. don't come again for pcc .. they were their last words while handling me my pcc.

I am nepali citizen and it was a long war for pcc from India in first place

NVC would think to start schedule people for September already since they are getting alot of upset/frustrated people calling asking for their interviews. Are they just not going to give out September interviews? Might as well just say when people call so we won't have to call every day. :protest:

So we understand better the people working at NVC and how they work, here are some quotes from one of those websites where employees (verified or not?) can send reviews about their workplace:

- "I worked there for 3 years and it was the most depressing time of my life..."

- "...The 'NVC' is a one story warehouse with a few offices around the inner circle of the building. The outer perimeter is where the downtrodden staff and low level supervisors nest. Most of this dank warehouse houses a factory filled with dirty crates of endless applications from all over the world from desperate people who want to come to America..."

- "This place will make you hate yourself. It is miserable. You are a robot. You are NOT ALLOWED under any circumstances to speak to other employees...."

Has not a single visa filer gotten an interview date for September yet? In any country? What is the NVC doing these days?

I'm still waiting for a Case Complete at the NVC, but dear God every step of the NVC has been delayed because of something on their end. I had to wait over a month to pay the IV fee and fill out the DS260, they've spent over a month and still haven't reviewed my DS260, and now when I am ready for an interview to finally scheduled they are going to drag their feet on that too?

Why is this receiving no attention at all? This system is a mess. It should not be this opaque and complicated for US citizens to bring their foreign spouses into the country. Surely this must be affecting thousands of people right now? Why can't the NVC do better? Why isn't anybody making them do better?

It's all about attitude and perspective. Look at what some are saying that left Amazon. The same almost exact words. Who knows. We could be at the same place but because I get along with about everyone it may be great and I love it while others think its the pit of hell.

Personnel isnt the issue at NVC it's policy. They don;t know how to update and implement anything effectively. I am a Software Test Engineer. And when we have a release to our client updating their software applications if we were as ineffective as NVC we would be out of business. The sad thing is we are the customers and have no recourse. I mean NVC fails what do we do.

All I can ask everyone to do is email, and or call the Director of NVC now. Just the people on this thread calling and making some noise can be something.

Also why not get on the phone and start calling your Senators and congressman. Lets find out what is really going on at NVC. No offense LPR folk but citizens should be first in line. This is bogus and waiting 2,3 4 months is nonsense when clearly every embassy is scheduling F1A's and K1's well they never have delay do they! :ranting:. Infact why is that K1's seem to get preferential treatment. But I digress.
