I promised myself not to call today, but did it anyway..

Of course, nothing can be said about the interview date.

However, I asked and they confirmed that the interviews are queued based on CC date, not on Priority Date or the date the case number is assigned at the NVC.. So, when your case is completed, it goes to the end of the interview scheduling queue, your PD and/or NVC arrival date won't matter.

Much like anything said by the NVC, she could be wrong, take it with a grain of salt.

It should go in order who got a Cc first.

I've been waiting for this darn interview longer than USCIS and NVC case complete.

It for sure does not go with CC first.

There is another guy in the thread who had exact same type of visa as mine. His CC was 7/29, he got interview 9/10. My CC was 7/10 and I got interview for 9/16.

But I looked his timeline, and his I-140 happened earlier in 2014, so his priority date must have been earlier in 2014. My priority date had been October 2014.

So there is a chance it had to do with Priority dates rather than CC date. Now since it's not a very huge amount of data, so take my assessment with a pinch of salt.

Exactly this is what I try each month and explain. When all is said and done with scheduling PD does play a part. But you first have to get ion the queue. If you look at the dates assigned and how it flows look at peoples NOA1 (PD dates) this is how slots are filled. And rightly so. Sure at times some one might get the 15th instead of the 1st but that's the luck of the draw.

Right now my guess as I stated before is all the embassies are obviously telling NVC to hold up on scheduling why I have no idea. Maybe its LPR holiday gift giving and only letting them in. I don't know wish I did but trying to find out what is up.

Also the embassies never send just that months slots. They send usually 2 months or that quarter. Trust me they are already looking at October and November and plotting accordingly.

I would strongly suggest just to ease your minds to contact your individual embassies and ask them what is going on. Who knows maybe you will all find out a tidbit or two,.

Come back and report what you find.

I think it totally has to do with software upgrades as someone else points out. Montreal clearly isn't busy much. They used to reply me 4 days later in the beginning of my case. Now they reply back to emails in less than an hour.
