As long as you are residing there legally you are ok, but if you are in the country illegally or just visiting then that is not ok

Thank you. I just want to be sure. Since it's 2 months from Cc and they didn't give me any interview yet. Just getting paranoid.

I say they take my long standing idea. At Case Complete NVC opens up the ustraveldocs.gov portal so you can schedule your own dang um interview. How about that. I mean why is it K1 can and you can't?

Hey Sunshine,i just called them too..nothing yet for Lagos!!..i think we both have same cc june 16,2015..Please,keep us posted when he talks to them..thanks!!

my husband just spoke to them and they said our case is in Lagos . so delay is not from nvc anymore Lagos consulate.

I don't know what to do next.

Receive IV Bill : January 15, 2015 called after AOS showed paid, they released it overnight)
Pay IV Bill : January 23, 2015
Send IV and AOS: January 29, 2015
Scan date: February 3, 2015
Checklist: March 19, 2015 (only need to send south Africa police report)
Case Complete: June 3, 2015 

EMBASSY: 10 months
Interview appointment letter : December 4, 2015
Interview Date : January 21, 2016 medical wasn't complete
Second interview date: April 4th 2016
Interview Result :APPROVED!!!
Visa Received : 4/13/2016 ( they sent us a email stating our visa was ready for pick up)

US Entry :4/29/2016 
Social Security : 5/10/2016 (filed from the actual office)
State ID: 5/14/2016
Started working!!: 5/25/2016
Finally paid green card fee: 6/24/2016 ( note said we will receive it within 60 days)
Green card in hand: 7/5/2016 10 year green card we done!! 

1st king born: 6/30/2016

April 2017 update: Marriage still going strong, baby boy getting bigger. Life is good

on hold at NVC since last 20 Min. Calling from India :) Thank god i have US calling plan :)

they only told my husband that our case is in Lagos maybe it's Lagos that will give us interview date.

nope if your case is in lagos NVC would of set the interview based on your visa.. check the ceac site and see what it says. but I believe your set for an interview. call NVC and your question should be have an interview been set for us.

April 2017 update: Marriage still going strong, baby boy getting bigger. Life is good

Well This means its just waste of time to call them. Once scheduled we will get email.

yea and it seems like the emails are coming quicker then before . looks like same day or day after

until the embassy puts it in their system it will say at nvc.. did you call? if they told you its at lagos I believe you do have an interview. I would call to confirm.. when you call hit 1 for English then hit 7. hopefully the wait isn't long
