So they are doing automatic scheduling? I thought they had designated people in charge of immigrant visa scheduling each month.

That's what I was told by one of the NVC operator on phone. But I don't take what they say on the phone literally.

I say they take my long standing idea. At Case Complete NVC opens up the ustraveldocs.gov portal so you can schedule your own dang um interview. How about that. I mean why is it K1 can and you can't?

This is from the Interview spreadsheet, easier to visualize. The colors indicate when the case was originally completed.

For the month of July - we are hoping they follow this same trend, where most interviews were scheduled on the 14th:

...And the months of June and May - not any pattern to it, interviews were scheduled whenever.

Let's keep in mind these were very atypical months, the NVC and Embassies were having issues with their system.

If we go back to April, before the NVC/Embassy system issues, it seems most interviews were being scheduled around the middle of the month, just like July. Most cases were from that month and the month before it.

06/03/2015 - Checklist received: missing DS-260 form

06/19/2015 - DS-260 available online and submitted

07/31/2015 - Case Complete (107 days from arriving @NVC or 89 days from scan date)

NVC: 6 months
Received : December 1, 2014
Received DS-261 / AOS Bill : January 1, 2015
Pay AOS Bill : January 9, 2015
Submit DS-261 : January 7, 2015
Receive IV Bill : January 15, 2015 called after AOS showed paid, they released it overnight)
Pay IV Bill : January 23, 2015
Send IV and AOS: January 29, 2015
Scan date: February 3, 2015
Checklist: March 19, 2015 (only need to send south Africa police report)
Case Complete: June 3, 2015 

EMBASSY: 10 months
Interview appointment letter : December 4, 2015
Interview Date : January 21, 2016 medical wasn't complete
Second interview date: April 4th 2016
Interview Result :APPROVED!!!
Visa Received : 4/13/2016 ( they sent us a email stating our visa was ready for pick up)

USA LIFE
US Entry :4/29/2016 
Social Security : 5/10/2016 (filed from the actual office)
State ID: 5/14/2016
Started working!!: 5/25/2016
Finally paid green card fee: 6/24/2016 ( note said we will receive it within 60 days)
Green card in hand: 7/5/2016 10 year green card we done!! 

1st king born: 6/30/2016

April 2017 update: Marriage still going strong, baby boy getting bigger. Life is good

positive hope.. I am praying badly that we get interview in sept because my India pcc will expire in October. and if expires gosh getting a new one will be another drama and pain and scary task

praying ... can't even get sleep just because of pcc thoughts are driving me nuts

They won;t make you get a new one. They know the NVC process is crazy. They use to make folk get another. It's like a I-129F for K1 filers the Co renews the expiry on it. So don;t even be concerned about that.

Unless you read elsewhere for your embassy that they demand another police report which I have not read and I know many from many embassies their PCC is passed expired.

I was going to ask this at the August interview thread, but it's closed.

For people that got an interview date scheduled, did the "CURRENT PROCESSING SITE" (top right corner) on the CEAC web tracking page change from "NVC" to something else before or after you were notified of the interview date?

If we are expecting interviews to come around the 14th (Friday), should we expect this to change as an indication the interview date is being communicated soon?

hmm never even noticed that since I haven't logged on the form portal since my CC.. everyone usually logs onto this site https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx should change to IN TRANSIT if an interview has been set , and if the embassy has it in their system already it will say READY.. so I believe all of us are looking for IN TRANSIT update to know if an interview has been set

So don;t even be concerned about that. India is one of those countries that takes extra pleasure in finding faults and denying a benefit on the flimsiest fault or mistake.

Unless you read elsewhere for your embassy that they demand another police report which I have not read and I know many from many embassies their PCC is passed expired. I wouldn't take a chance with low-level guards manning the US embassy security at New Delhi who can deny entrance due to an expired document.
