I'm telling you I feel an announcement coming from NVC that IR1/CR1 is going to start being able to schedule their own interview thru ustraveldocs.gov. :secret:

Come on pray with me or whatever you do to put out their positiveness. It's the best solution. Frees up NVC and well puts more control in yours. Case Complete means go get your interview. Imagine.

You heard it first when it comes. :clock:

It would be great if they start to do it that way???

Probably the cause of a shorter wait when calling NVC is; many have stopped calling, I know I have !!!

Me too. Its been 2 weeks since the last time I called.

So I grabbed the data from the "Case Complete to Interview" spreadsheet, removed all the non IR1/CR1 visas, removed all the expedited cases and all cases missing the interview date (including recent ones).

Based on 1572 cases from late 2012 until now, this is the amount of days between the case complete and the interview for each country.

(ps. I also removed countries with less than 4 entries and entries with 250+ days between c.c. and the interview, i.e. outliers)

To update you just fill out the form that's in my signature. Or some tell me here. I rather the form in case I miss it.

Your timeline in your signature you mean or you mean the VJ timeline. You have case complete 4/27. Is that the last update or do you have interview date?

Yea my last update is completed case 4/27. Until now I haven't got any news about interview yet. Hope next week or until end of this month, I will have interview letter.

To answer the question "Do I get an interview faster or slower depending if my case was completed at the start or the end of a month?"

Can't tell for sure! There's no strong trend, except on a few months, like July 2013.

Here each dot represents an interview scheduling. The horizontal position is the date it was scheduled. The vertical height is how many days until the interview date once it was scheduled.

Another question: do "busy" countries take longer to get an interview?

Apparently, countries with a lot of applicants have shorter wait times for interviews. Possibly it's because these countries have more embassies and are ready to handle the larger volume.

iichGLh.png

The top 5 countries: 193 interviews in India, 141 in the Philippines, 140 in Canada, 103 in Nigeria and 87 in Pakistan.

(removed from these counts are cases with 250+ days between cc and interview, I believe they are typos).

am I the only one that notice getting through NVC is quicker? I called twice last week and was on hold for 10min and I only had to call three times to even get through. today I called and got through on the second try and was on hold for 5 min before someone came on. maybe its pure luck but very strange.. strange in a good way lol

YES! same here. I was startled when someone answered after 4 minutes. And then had to scramble to get the case number because I was surprised they answered so quickly. Now, if they could only put the same amount of effort fixing the interview process as they did the phone line....;)

Love the charts Toozler! Very informative. By comparing the dates from 2014, I'm wondering if they will be scheduling around the same times for 2015. I saw for October and November 2014 they scheduled a lot of interviews. Interesting to see...
