I habe a question ..my interview is scadualed on 10 sep ...do i need form i864 and recent incom tax return...plz do reply fast...am asking because we alrdy submited theses documents almst mnth ago

From what I understand, if affidavit of support and 2014 tax returns, (and other forms of income if applicable) were submitted to NVC, the applicant should just take a letter to their interview which states that they already submitted this to NVC. I don't know if that's accurate though! So I hope someone else here who knows for SURE will confirm or debunk this information for us both.

I say they take my long standing idea. At Case Complete NVC opens up the ustraveldocs.gov portal so you can schedule your own dang um interview. How about that. I mean why is it K1 can and you can't?

If when you completed your I864 it included your tax information for 2014, you do not need to complete a new one, but I would definitely bring a copy of the AoS to the interview just in case

Hmmm now thats odd. But I have read when NVC has called petitioner. It happens now and then yes.

Could it be about your residency in Canada?

Not sure what this all could be about. I would assume my case is fairly standard as I was born and raised in canada. I got a checklist originally bc I accidently sent them my short form birth certificate but they have confirmed that they received the long form bc that I sent around 3 weeks ago...I'm going to ask my husband to call today after work and see if they'll give him More info

If u submitted to nvc u don't need it.. However u might have copies of them. Just bring it to interview in case if nvc didn't shipped it to embassy

P.s.fill ur timeline. It's purely for stats. As u are getting help from vj why not fill ur timeline and help vj and other members

So after a year of waiting ..my wife is finally here and our August Delhi Interview was short ,easy and painless.I cant still believe that she is finally here. Thank you all for all the help over the year and i will be around needing more help soon as we begin the ROC process.Good Luck and God Bless you all.

That is so true bro. They disappear for couple of years after interviews. Then come back with roc questions. Oh well..

I answered you on your post about this. You have 21 months to wait to begin filing for ROC. So put that on the back burner for now. Welcome to America and Congratulations.

Wondering, people who have an interview date and the p4 letter, do you also received instructions from your embassy, or just the p4 from nvc? Seems so odd to me that we receive no word from the embassy until we go for our interview.

USCIS received I-130: August 11, 2014

USCIS approves our case: February 10, 2015

USCIS sends case to NVC: February 18, 2015

NVC welcome letter + email received: March 10, 2015 - date on letter March 3, 2015

NVC assigned case number: March 1, 2015

DS-261 filed: March 10, 2015

AOS fee payed online: March 10, 2015

NVC confirmation letter for choice of agent being registered: May 5, 2015 - received this letter thru email on May 7, 2014 and again via letter/email May 8, 2015

IV bill received: May 7 and May 8, 2015 (together with letter ds261 review confirmation)

Send in AOS an IV package: May 6, 2015

Payed IV bill thru money order: May 8, 2015

There are some embassies that contact you. It's embassy specific. Not many but some.
