Hi guys I have a question. My case complete was July 01 and am waiting for interview but I would like to change interview location will that cause any delay or problem

yes you are looking at 2 to 3 months just for the switch. Are you are resident of the country you want your case switched to?

Call NVC if thats what you want to do just know it takes some time and depending on the embassy it could be longer.

My interview was today and I got approved in like 2 minutes. The hardest part was almost all of us who were there for immigration visa we had to wait 2.5 to 3 hours to be interviewed. In total we were 10 and just 1 officer conducting the interview he approved 9 of us and just rejected 1( we don't know the reason so don't panic). For most of us he took 10 to 15 minutes and I was #9 so I'm assuming by this time he was tired and all he cared was that all the information is true to my knowledge and that was it. I wish all of you the kinda luck I had with me today

No am not resident in either of the countries from ethiopia to kenya

How do you plan o qualifying to interview in Kenya? To transfer your case there you need to be a resident there or the embassy will not allow it.

Hi all. I have learned over the past 12 months on this journey that perseverance is an important attribute one must have. I never gave up and I have God backing me up. If I told my wife the details of all I have gone through in the hands of USCIS and NVC, she would think I'm a superhero :)

To be honest, I wasn't expecting August interview because I thought August was filled up last month but my wife's interview is now only 7 days away! Now, we'll be on the rush to get her medicals done in the next 2 days so the result can be ready before Thursday.

We are fully aware that this "battle" in not yet over - there is one final hurdle to scale. But we believe God will perfect everything He has started in our lives. Counting down to the day I see my lovely wife again at the airport (don't know which one yet :))

Thank you dwheels and thanks to everyone on this forum. You alll rock!

Almost had a heart attack. Got an e-mail from the NVC a few minutes ago, jumped out of the chair without even opening.

Went on to read it. It's a response from an e-mail I sent on June 9th to AskNVC@ asking why my DS-260 isn't available considering the fee has been paid for a month.

I hope they are not busy responding to 2 month old e-mails instead of working on getting cases going....

i got a reply for my ds-261 email sent may 15th on aug 2nd :) so i feel the same way as you ....

I did receive the email with the appointment date and personalized list of the documents I need to take to embassy few hours ago.

CEAC status still shows at NVC though. I think it will be few days before they ship a bunch of cases together to Montreal.

How long did it take for you to receive the email?

So I called NVC to check what the FALAFEL has been going on. According to them they might start scheduling interview for September soon enough.

75+ days and going strong.

Good luck everyone. Hope you all hear the good news soon.

How long did it take for you to receive the email?

I knew about my schedule when i called on Tuesday evening 5ish.

I got email on Wednesday 3ish. So 1 day

It took that long probably because they had to put custom list of documents specific to my case in the email to take to embassy. But it might not be the case.

Hey Dwheels,

Does someone need to be a permanent resident to qualify for a visa? In my case, I'm not a PR in Canada but I have a valid Work permit. Would that be enough?

As long as you are residing there legally you are ok, but if you are in the country illegally or just visiting then that is not ok
