Well, I finally called NVC this afternoon. I noticed we had the 3 N/A's last week Thursday, but today we still haven't heard anything. The person on the phone told me our case is complete and they are waiting for open interview dates from the embassy. Hope we hear back from them soon :).

We also received NVC Welcome letter today as well as the Document cover sheet and AOS fee Invoice. I was finally able to log in the payment portal and the AOS Fee is now available to pay. Made my day :)

We won't be able to send the AOS and IV packet anytime soon tho as I am still waiting for my police clearance. Now, the waiting time for IV Invoice and DS-260 begins!

Wishing all the best for everyone! :)

Hi, what does the welcome letter say?

I received an email, the pdf attachment says "We registered you as the agent for ..." and includes an invoice IV Fee . It also says:

Step 2: Pay fees

Step 3: Submit visa application form

Step 4: Collect financial documents

Step 5: Collect supporting documents

Step 6: Submit documents to the NVC

Is that the welcome letter?

My I-130 was approved today! Hurray! :jest:

One hurdle over, now for the next! (of course my first instinct was to hop on VJ and read everything possible to find out how to speed this up as soon as possible haha)

So once NVC receives my file, is there any specific reason I would be wanting to call to find out my case number? Does it allow me to fill any forms out faster or would they become available at the same time anyways?

Very good to hear.

The NVC will probably receive your petition, 7 days after USCIS sends it. Don't know when USCIS will send it.

The NVC will probably take 12 days to assign a case number.

If you can check with USCIS and find out when they will or have sent your petition to NVC you may have an idea of the timeline you are working with.

I E-mailed The Embassy about my packet 3 and embassy replayed to my E-mail :-)

" Kindly note that in order to proceed with her case, she needs to provide us with the following documents:

1. New DS260 form

Effective September 1, 2013, the DS-260 Immigrant Visa Electronic Application will replace the paper-based DS-230 Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (parts I and II). Hence, you should complete the new on line DS-260 application form available of the following website: https://ceac.state.gov/iv/.

Please fill out My Invoice ID Number is field with the number that will be given to you by the NVC and you can contact the NVCinquiry@state.gov to get this number. Once you complete the form on line, you should notify us directly through the following email: consularcairoiv@state.gov. We will then process your case to conclusion.

2. Medical Examination

Once she do that, she may contact us so that we can schedule her so she can sign in front of the officer at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.

Regards,

Consular Section

U.S. Embassy, Cairo "

Iam so confused :-(

According to what I been reading I suppose to fill out DS160 not DS260

He didn't mention anything about Packet 3 ?

When I checked online to fill out DS260 form it's not giving me the option to fill DS260 just DS160 :-(

I got a little ahead of myself. I saw the "PAY NOW" link next to the IV Fee link as well, but as it turned out when I went to pay this afternoon that only the AOS fee was available at this time. I still plan to mail out the AOS/IV package asap!

Have they told you why they can't enter your email addresses?

The lady said something about it still being input in the system so they're not able to take my email but to call back in a week. So maybe just a line?

Since I can print the AOS sheet with barcode after paying it, and I check the page pretty much every day, I don't really see why I'd need to give them my email . . . Once the DS-261 is in the system, I'd be getting emails anyway, right? Should I still keep trying?

Also, AOS shows as paid today! Moving right along . . .
