Thats what i did they told me to ignore it. My question is how long am i suppose to wait for the aos to be reviewed after their done reviewing my ds260

"False vs. Real Checklists

If you sent the packages, then get a checklist asking for one of the packages, just ignore it; it's a false checklist. Please understand that as soon as NVC reviews a package, they very frequently generate a checklist for the other package, without even checking if they have it in the building first.

The only time a checklist is real (and not false) is if it asks for something very specific missing in a package (like a police certificate, for example). If it asks for something general, like the entire package, then you can assume it's false. Call up an operator at NVC to confirm either way."

the purpose of this form is to proof that you can sponsor the beneficiary, if you are well over poverty $, they should use common sense.

I completely agree with you, it is common sense... i should write them a letter stating my defense. Lol

Avoiding checklist section. The question is can i avoid a delay if i sent corrected 864ez before they even checklist and how bad would it be if they sent checklist and moved on to another case

Do not send your 864ez again until you get the checklist. They might not ask you to submit 864ez again. Here's a checklist that they ask the applicant to bring the new 864 to interview

interview to be scheduled your Affidavit of Support contained one or more sections with missing or incorrect

information. Please review the additional instructions below then complete a new Affidavit of Support. (You can

download the I-864 form and instructions at http://www.uscis.gov/i-864.) Once you have completed the new

Affidavit of Support, please provide it to the principal applicant to bring to his or her visa interview. Do not submit

your new Affidavit of Support to the NVC, as doing so will reopen your case and cause processing delays.

that is good to know, all other information could be revised at the interview except the minimum poverty requirement obviously.. =)

August has been good to us from NOA2 approved to all fees paid and docs/forms submitted to NVC

ask them about the address issue, i will do the same on Monday.we could share what they said.

Ah i see.. unfortunately i do not know the answer.

I just know the review as a big lump consisting of ds260 and documents. Maybe someone with cc or Interview date can answer your question.

the old I-864ez did not have this question...I hope who ever reviews documents reads question 3, you only answer physical question if you answered NO to question 3...I will call NVC Monday =/

So I started slogging through the DS-260 stuff today. I anticipated a lot of trouble with remembering addresses, and indeed I had some.

But!

With the aid of Google/Google Street View I was able to get all my street addresses squared away (13 different addresses, about a half-dozen of which I knew the street but not the number--I'm not a young person).

I don't think anything else will be this troublesome, and I've already got 'er done. Whew!

Hi katze101,

If your documents are done reviewing and the only thing missing is the DS-260, I would try calling and trying to explain that to them. I was stuck in NVC hell for 15 days... The reps who take the calls usually cannot do much, but when we finally managed to talk to a Supervisor yesterday, they fixed it within 30 minutes.

I think I might get a checklist too because my husband filled his job title in the i-864 differently than it was in his employment letter - something that Saylin said on her guide that would surely cause a checklist. I feel so bad about it now - I don't know why I did not check it before I sent.

Yeah that was my plan last week but we live in Australia and I've been sick so it's been hard finding the time to call. But I'm feeling better so it should be easier to stay up to make the call.

Correct, I only submitted my employment verification letter to prove my income. We didn't have any issues.

Quick question about the ds-260, as a USC abroad with a USC child abroad as well:

For the questions "is your spouse/child immigrating to the US with you?" is the answer "yes"? As citizens, we're not technically immigrating, but we will all be moving together . . .

When you select no, the question is "are they immigrating at a later date to join you?" . . . So I'm just a little confused about what to answer.
