Oops.. I replied to your previous post without reading this. Yes, I think it should be August 24.

We're on the same boat now. Waiting for 30 days review. Pray for the best!

I think when you get the letter from NVC it will say an earlier date, 8/21. NVC don't fail me lol.

You're probably right. Since they received on August 20 n signed USPS receipt, it might be scanned the day after. lol

Should I keep calling NVC until someone reviews my DS-261 tonight? Will they flag me or something? First guy told me to wait 4weeks... he wouldn't even put my email in the system.. is this normal?

Do you guys think I have a better chance of requesting an expedite through my congressman/woman or just to email the expedite email address for NVC myself?

You would think a congress person would have some weight but it will be up to the Embassy, and if you can present a strong case. The Embassy can act even funnier than NVC.

They told me the same thing the first few times I called after getting my case number. Eventually someone did take my email and checked the DS261 (see my signature for the dates, I think it was almost 3 weeks, but I was on vacation at one point so didn't call everyday), and the IV invoice arrived a few days later.

USC abroad since 2007

Married French husband 2012

Bébé born 2014 - CRBA and US passport a few months later

Me + husband + bébé + cat all arrived safely in the US on January 25th

Visa process 2015

I-130 sent: June 2nd (delivered June 4th by Chronopost)

NOA1 received: June 8th via email, June 15th via post - California Service Center

NOA2 received: June 30th via email, July 7th via post

NVC received case: July 16th

NCV case number by phone: July 30th (assigned July 29th)

DS-261 completed online: July 31st

AOS Fee available/paid online: August 4th

AOS Fee shows as "PAID"; August 6th

DS-261 accepted by phone: August 19th

IV invoice received by mail: August 20th (late at night)

IV fee available/paid online: August 21st

IV fee shows as "PAID": August 25th

AOS/IV packages sent: August 29th (delivered September 2nd via Chronopost)

If petitioners doesn't have a job and income, does that person have to submit AOS as well ?

Our friend is the sponsor and we already sent all the documents of our friend since my wife don't work we didn't send a separate AOS for my wife.

People who have really good knowledge about this kindly explain this to me please.

The petitioner always has to submit an AOS, even if everything is 0. If she didn't fill out a tax return, you'll have to write a letter to explain why. You'll probably get a checklist for her form.

My wife's case was completed july 10th 2015 and as of now still NO interview date has been scheduled for New Delhi embassy in india. I've checked time lines of other members and the chart of completed cases and there is not much recent info about new delhi most of the members cases are for Mumbai.Im trying to estimate a time when to expect an interview. If anyone is in the same situation as me for the same embassy, please let me know. Thanks

do call NVC today to chk on interview date. Bunny&Ninja another VJ member got interview date in Delhi. Her case got completed on July 13 I guess. So hopefully ur interview also might be scheduled. Chk the interview thread.

Hoping and praying we don't get a checklist. Halfway through the waiting period now. I worry about a lot of things I might have done wrong that I thought were right.

And hope that whoever reviews my case is forgiving of any tiny mistakes. Like I wondered did I put gross or adjusted gross on the form? I sent tax return, w2, tax account and tax return transcripts. I sent so much stuff! About 77 pages in the end for my AOS and the IV package. IV was only 9 of those pages LOL.

I worry about stuff like me filing "head of household" on my taxes. It was my understanding that's the one I should be doing, but suddenly I'm not so sure.

I sent the request before they even received my case at NVC, but they responded to me with my case number as soon as they assigned it (8 days from receiving my case) in the email along with a message that my expedite request was under review. The following day I got an email saying my request was approved.
