So I've filled in the i-864 I downloaded from the USCIS site but I don't see a barcode on the form . . . am I misunderstanding what this is supposed to be? Or is it because I'm using a mac?

Sorry if this is a silly question, I feel like I read somewhere about a barcode on the i-864 but now can't find anything about it, just about barcodes on the coversheet, so just want to make sure I understand everything before I send it in!

We didn't have a barcode on our I-864EZ and we didn't use a mac.

I'm not sure if they have specific criteria (most likely the same from the USCIS stage is my guess), or maybe they base it on ease case... I'm not sure.

I applied via email. I emailed them as soon as I found out NVC received my case, and they emailed me back yesterday saying expedite review was under review and also gave me my case number. This morning, I woke up to an email saying expedite request was approved.

I'll search the K1 process, the guides online aren't applying to the expedite I guess any longer since the email said to bring the forms to the interview... I'm just not sure how to access these forms.

Which email address did you use for sending the expedite request, please?

Hi aeh85,

The same has happened to me. When we opened the form in my husband's computer (Windows, with Adobe Acrobat), all code bars showed up. I think it's a bug in the "Preview" software.

What I did to fix it was to download "Adobe Acrobat" for mac. After I did it, all code bars showed up.

I hope this helps!

For those waiting for review of agent, please call the NVC. It doesn't take two mins once you're connected to someone. They said I'll receive an email in a few days to pay the IV fee

I've checked time lines of other members and the chart of completed cases and there is not much recent info about new delhi most of the members cases are for Mumbai.Im trying to estimate a time when to expect an interview. If anyone is in the same situation as me for the same embassy, please let me know. Thanks

You should note that I filled out the I-864EZ not the I-864. I checked for the I-864EZ, but there are no barcodes on it in any of the browsers or different computers I tried. Also I opened them with the Adobe acrobat, but no barcodes, while at the same time, I-864 does have the barcodes. So I guess I-864EZ doesn't have any barcodes at all. Doesn't even have any blank space for barcodes like it shows up in the simple I-864.

But since we didn't use the I-864, we didn't think much of it.

Which one are you filling out?

Yeah, I don't think they are super important. I've never seen someone getting a checklist for not having the barcodes on their I-864 form.

That's the main thing I'm worried about. My joint sponsor already filled theirs in and it's on the way to me via post, so I didn't want to delay sending the packet by getting them to redo it.

It's the normal i-864, but the old form (still good until October 6th normally!). Opening the one I worked on in Preview in Adobe reader didn't change anything, but downloading the new form and opening it in Reader did show a barcode.

Maybe I should redo mine at least? Would two different versions of the form be okay? Will it make a huge difference on the other end in terms of how quickly they process it?

W2, If you filed taxes married jointly then you ll need copy of w2/....I think

I believe you are correct.

I did not file jointly though. According to IRS, I'm a single man. My tax guy suggested this way.
