You were correct, draga, the 864 does require proof of citizenship or residency

Taken from I-864 instructions: (NOT I-864EZ)

"Item Numbers 11.a. - 11.c. Citizenship or Residency. You must provide proof that you are a U.S. citizen, U.S. national,

or lawful permanent resident for joint and substitute sponsors and for relatives of employment-based immigrants who

file Form I-864. Petitioning relatives who have already filed proof of their citizenship or immigration status with Form

I-129F, Form I-130, Form I-600, or Form I-600A do not need to submit proof of their status with this affidavit."

Your joint sponsor probably had to submit this, but not the petitioner if USCIS already had it.

I just called NVC and they told me that my case was upgraded from F2A to CR1/IR1, and my scan date is August 19th 2015, now it's time to count 30days.

I received an email this morning that the expedite request was accepted and that the file is being forward to the embassy/consulate. What's the next step? The consulate will contact me or I have to contact them?

I don't see any forms available when I login either -- I just paid the AOS fee online and did choice of agent form yesterday (they were the only ones available). That's normal? The email said the embassy can request additional forms/fees and any missing forms at the time of the interview.

Is there anything we can do in the meantime while we wait for them to contact us?

That is normal. After you choice of agent is confirmed then you will get the IV invoice.

It is my understanding that the documents you would send to NVC will go to the Embassy. So you will need to get all of that stuff ready. You are probably familiar with the guide that outlines all the things you will need.

I guess now the processing will be similar to the K1 correspondence with the Embassy.

I'm not sure if they have specific criteria (most likely the same from the USCIS stage is my guess), or maybe they base it on ease case... I'm not sure.

I applied via email. I emailed them as soon as I found out NVC received my case, and they emailed me back yesterday saying expedite review was under review and also gave me my case number. This morning, I woke up to an email saying expedite request was approved.

Look ar my timeline . scan Date April 22. I got dificulty to pay the iv fee and even i paid bay mail it took almost two months to change as Paid . I couldn't access to the ds260 , i got checklist for the ds260 missing on may 21 . Finally completed the ds260 on july 4th . And case complete on August 19 after several calls the nvc.

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has experienced this before. Yesterday my husband called NVC regarding IV fee that hasn't been invoiced yet and they said they have reviewed our DS-261 and will process the IV bill (We have paid AOS fee and sent out AOS & IV package). Now, I just checked CEAC page, there is no name at all under applicant name for IV Application Processing Fees, where it was my name and my birth year before. The total amount selected is also $0. It was not invoiced before. Am I just being paranoid? Or is NVC processing my IV fee at the moment?
