I got my case number today. I had been calling daily since they received my case and today was the first day I hadn't called yet. How ironic.

They sent it via email -- I had sent as expedite request and they emailed me back saying it was under review and in the email they included the case number on it.

That is very good. Quick turn around from NVC. Hopefully that is good news that they are getting more efficient there.

I agree-- 8 days to assign case number after receiving it.

What's the next step?

Should I wait on getting a response on the expedite before doing anything else?

For NVC you have to send pictures for proof of relationship? I thought that was only at USCIS and the interview?

Also, I didn't send in my citizenship certificate to USCIS- just a copy of my passport- should I include it again to NVC?

What's the next step?

Should I wait on getting a response on the expedite before doing anything else?

I would recommend going about it like there is no expedite request pending.

No no. you have sent a copy of your passport which is a proof of your US status.

Also, no you don't need to send the proof of relationship. It is in fact only for the USCIS and the interview.

30-Dec-2014: Married

19-Jan-2015: I-130 Sent

21-Jan-2015: NOA

16-Jul-2015: NOA 2 (No RFE's! Yayy)

15-Jul-2015: Case sent to NVC

22-Jul-2015: Case received by NVC

5-Aug-2015: Case # and IIN assigned

6-Aug-2015: Filled and submitted DS-261

7-Aug-2015: AOS fee invoiced and paid(Status: In Process)

10-Aug-2015: AOS fees changed to PAID

I wish I could edit my post but it would not let me.

The employment letter, us citizenship certificate, and proof of relationship are optional (extra) for sending to NVC, at least for my case. Sorry for the confusion

Yeah, that's the scan date. So, you should expect to get a CC on or before September 17th.

09/09/2015: Recieved email stating CASE COMPLETE.{7 Days after calling to verify CC}

INTERVIEW STAGE: Now the Long Wait for INTERVIEW :clock: :cry: :unsure:.....Still Praying for a quick one though.prayer-hands-smiley-emoticon.gif

10/01/2015: Called and was informed of our INTERVIEW DATE { 29 Days after CC}......GLORY BE TO GOD ALMIGHTY!!!!!

10/01/2015: Received my {P4} Interview letter via email about 3 hours after phone call :dancing::dancing:(L):wow::star::dance::yes:

10/11/2015: Checked CEAC site and our status changed from "At NVC" to "IN TRANSIT"

10/13/2015: Checked CEAC site again and our status changed from "IN TRANSIT" to "READY"

Wait so this generic email that tells me they are experiencing high volume is my scan data?

When I check my case status at the NVC portal it still just says "at NVC" I thought it would update when they scanned?

If not, what should I expect to be the next progress report from the portal?

I think the next step is to wait which may be the hardest wait ever. I don't know of anything that can be done. Hopefully there will be no checklists. Also after case complete there will be more waiting for the interview. So much waiting.

I reckon they will give us the whole, we need 30 days to review your documents spill. I plan to check in once a week after they have confirmed they have my documents. I called today and they claim they didn't get it, it was delivered yesterday. I will check again tomorrow.

I don't know what much else can be done after they start reviewing it but to wait.

I want it to go fast lol.

I called and they have everything and it is waiting to be reviewed, so we will check in every few days to see the progress.

She said our scan date is august 10
