Mailed my AOS and IV Package on 8/15 and they received it 8/17..... I got an email today from NVC today.....this is what it says:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 17-AUG-15. We are experiencing a high volume of incoming mail at this time. Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail for the NVC to review your documents. We are diligently working to reduce our review time and appreciate your patience. The NVC will notify you after our review if there is additional information required or if we are able to schedule your case for an interview overseas.

Question:

Is this the email response that everyone has been getting? Is 8/17 my scan date?

Yeah, that's the scan date. So, you should expect to get a CC on or before September 17th.

Interview scheduled for the 2nd week of September! CALL CALL CALL the consulate...we weren't contacted. If I hadn't called we wouldn't have gotten the date we got. I also had to request via email for the letter so we can do the medical.

Good luck to you all!

Hi all,

I have a silly question. For those who did EP, what did you do with your photographs? Did you just send a scanned copy of it? Or did you send two photographs with regular mail?

Thank you!

It seems NVC had been getting a case number assigned within 12 days, I counted numerical days. You can call within a week just in case they are faster now.

I believe it is 12 calendar days from scan date.

Scan date will probably be few days after nvc received date although nvc is not consistent on clarifying this distinction.

For my case, nvc received same day as uscis sent to DOS, and scanned 4 days after receiving the case.

I am US citizen as a minor through my parent's naturalization. It was not required to send it, but just in case they misplaced it... it feels awkward that they didn't ask for it lol

I got my case number today. I had been calling daily since they received my case and today was the first day I hadn't called yet. How ironic.

They sent it via email -- I had sent as expedite request and they emailed me back saying it was under review and in the email they included the case number on it.
