I sent all pages of my passport and all pages of spouse's passport for the petition.

Overkill? Probably.

I plan to send first 2 and last 2 pages of spouse's passport to NVC.

Not an overkill. They won't send you a checklist because oh you sent them extra pages of your passport. But you'll definitely get a checklist if there's something missing. So better to be safe than sorry. :)

19-Jan-2015: I-130 Sent

21-Jan-2015: NOA

16-Jul-2015: NOA 2 (No RFE's! Yayy)

15-Jul-2015: Case sent to NVC

22-Jul-2015: Case received by NVC

5-Aug-2015: Case # and IIN assigned

6-Aug-2015: Filled and submitted DS-261

7-Aug-2015: AOS fee invoiced and paid(Status: In Process)

10-Aug-2015: AOS fees changed to PAID

10-Aug-2015: AOS and IV packages sent

But who knows if extra pages will confuse some "incompetent" worker or cause additional time to process.

Imagine Friday afternoon 450pm... you look at a case with 75 pages and you see another with 30 pages... I would choose 30 page case. Your case might sit until next workday. Lol (if this scenario is valid.)

Hey Shams! I just filled and submitted my DS-260 today. Hope you've been doing good progress as well! :)

So awaiting scan date and then hopefully no checklist but a smooth transfer to the Embassy.

The stakes are now higher and I guess the anxiety levels will increase. The NVC has all the control now.

But who knows if extra pages will confuse some "incompetent" worker or cause additional time to process.

And it is scary now because the ball is in their court now. We both have done everything that was in our power and now all we need to do is wait. Oh please be good to us NVC!

It is awesome how our cases are progressing parallely.

Haha! Don't send the whole thing this time. But I'd suggest you do send the first 2 pages too along with the biographic data page. :)

Just to be on the safe side, I sent the first two pages, where the first one reflect my country's symbol and the passport officer's signature and the second one has my picture and other information, and the last page, i.e. the biographical data page.

It is better to send more information than less. Lol.

I didn't send a photocopy of my whole passport. Just first two and the last page.

That is correct.

From NVC: Photocopy of Valid Passport Biographic Data Page

You and each family member immigrating with you must submit a photocopy of the biographic data page of your valid passport. The biographic data page is the page of your passport with your photograph, name, date, and place of birth.

  • You must send a photocopy of your biographic data page to the NVC.
  • You must submit a photocopy of your biographic data page to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at the time of your interview.

OK I just mailed it out express mail!!!

I included the whole passport (gosh better safe than sorry right?) lol

How long did it take from the time the NVC received your IV package that they actually scanned it in?

I am the petitioner, he still lives overseas

found each other August 2009
started courting December 2010
first held hands February 2011
engaged June 2013
married May 2014
began process January 2015

Most recent update: Interviewed on 05-OCT 2015. Approved and visa in hand!!!

Mailed my AOS and IV Package on 8/15 and they received it 8/17..... I got an email today from NVC today.....this is what it says:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 17-AUG-15. We are experiencing a high volume of incoming mail at this time. Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail for the NVC to review your documents. We are diligently working to reduce our review time and appreciate your patience. The NVC will notify you after our review if there is additional information required or if we are able to schedule your case for an interview overseas.

Question:

Is this the email response that everyone has been getting? Is 8/17 my scan date?

01/21/2015: Mailed I-130 Petition
01/23/2015: Delivered via(Text&Email)
01/26/2015: NOA1 & Priority Date
01/27/2015: NOA1 confirmation via (Text & Email) sent to (VSC)

10/01/2015: Called and was informed of our INTERVIEW DATE { 29 Days after CC}......GLORY BE TO GOD ALMIGHTY!!!!!

10/01/2015: Received my {P4} Interview letter via email about 3 hours after phone call :dancing::dancing:(L):wow::star::dance::yes:

10/11/2015: Checked CEAC site and our status changed from "At NVC" to "IN TRANSIT"

10/13/2015: Checked CEAC site again and our status changed from "IN TRANSIT" to "READY"

I got similar e-mail around Aug 11th, still waiting. I think I'm gonna start calling them next week (this week it's just overkill at my work) asking if there is any progress on my case....

So annoying, this whole process is just crazy and, frankly speaking, derogatory!
