urvashi on the address i would suggest to put date of your birth as start date. nvc can easily be confused and you don't want to add anything for them to elongate your timeline.

Alright TeJoGB! Thanks a ton!

Also, when they ask for my mother's name, do I put her current name or her maiden name?

We don't have any documents with her maiden name. :(

Hi All, please. what do I fill in the FULL NAMES ON NATIVE ALPHABET should it be same as SURNAME and GIVEN NAMES.

2. As a female spouse do I still fill up my MAIDEN NAME.

Thanks!

Hi.

1. I am just going to check the "Technology not available" box for full name in native alphabet field.

2. I have not used my maiden name anywhere since I officially changed it a few months ago. So I am just putting my new name everywhere. Basically, use whatever name appears in your passport.

they ask for mothers last name /surname at her birth. and her first name.

I put my MIL's surname when she was born though we dont have any document with it either, i dont believe they ask for that evidence. my mother's first name after marriage remained same, and they dont specify first name at birth so if your mother's first name changed after marriage put her current first name. hth

Alright, so maybe I will just put my birth year since I haven't lived anywhere else since I was born.

Hey. I have another issue. These NVC people mispelled my husband's middle name so we need to send an email to correct it. Can you check the format and let me know if it seems okay?

Format:

18th August 2015

Beneficiary’s Name:

Beneficiary’s Date of Birth:

Petitioner Name:

Petitioner Date of Birth:

Case Number:

I, NAME OF THE PETITIONER, the petitioner of the above case number would like to inform that my middle name has been misspelled on all the correspondence we have received from the NVC. My correct full name is: CORRECTED FULL NAME

I have attached a photocopy of my passport as a proof to reflect my correct name. I request you to kindly update it at your earliest convenience.

Thank you,

NAME

ADDRESS

CITY STATE ZIP

PHONE NUMBER

I have normally put name, address, etc on the top of the document not bottom. However, the content of you letter meets the intent.

* inform YOU in lieu of inform that?

Looks like an email and a follow up call to NVC will sort out that issue.

Well, yeah. My mother's last name changed. Okay, so I should just put her surname from when she was born, right?

We won't get any checklists for this right?

Okay. I actually found this format on another post and they have been using this format to update their addresses.

But I got the inform part and will change it.

Also, yeah. Hopefully this will get sorted out soon. :)

On the I-864EZ since you can't put "N/A" on some parts is it OK if I leave those blank than hand write with a pen "N/A"?

Especially with the phone number I can't fit in all the digits

That is what I did. They got me so paranoid that I just N/A all over the form where it didn't apply to me.

In the instructions it did seem like I could leave blank some of the item but to be on the safe side I wrote it N/A in the places that didn't apply.

Hey, since I-864 is a printable form, what we did is write everything we needed to and then just wrote "N/A" using a black pen with hand. It should not be a problem. They have been saying it is okay to leave the fields that don't apply to you blank, but I have read countless times on visa journey to never leave anything blank.

And just put in your mobile number without the country code to fit it in.

Hey guys, anybody still have difficulties paying IV fees online? Whenever my husband attempts to pay, he could encode his personal and bank details, but the page would always end up empty. He repeated the process 3x already but nothing!! We are thinking of paying by mail, but having second thoughts, since we have no IV invoice to attach. We are at our wits end. Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated, we don't know what to do anymore!!

I think you should call the NVC and ask them what the problem is, also ask how you might be able to pay by mail since you have no IV invoice to attach?

Or maybe just wait a day or two and try paying again? But I would suggest just calling them and getting this resolved instead of wasting another day or two.
