If I call USCIS to see if they mailed my I-130 yet and they most up to date info on the recording is that its been approved, does that mean they havent mailed it yet or do i need to actually check with someone? Would the recording tell me its been mailed?

It didn't change for me but I got an email that said it had been sent.

Ironically I had called USCIS an hr before and asked if it was sent and they said they don't have that info then i got the email.

When you call USCIS, request to speak with a tier 2 supervisor and they can help you to track down if your I-130 petition was sent to NVC.

I don't really know when they send off the petitions but it is very likely yours has been shipped.

They could do once a month, or twice a month, but it seems like they do ship some out at the beginning of the month.

Hey guys. Question.

So we received the IV fee invoice by email today, but it hasn't opened up on the online payment portal. What should we do? Just pay it by mail? Which one is better? Wouldn't paying by mail take longer?

I would recommend waiting a day or two and then paying it on the online payment portal.

Keep checking each day, in the morning and in the evening and it may show up. I was able to pay mine a day after I received the e-mail.

Good stuff, your case is coming along.

If you guys have any questions specifically for me,

I will be glad to help via private message.

Hey. I just got my ds-261 reviewed over the phone like.. day before yesterday, and yesterday we were already invoiced for IV fees!

But I had to call and call and call the NVC to get someone to do it. First they said they wouldn't be able to review or update anything since my ds-261 still wasn't showing up in their system. Then a day or two after that, when it showed up, they said they would not be able to review it since the system won't let them right now. Anyways, the last time I called they said they will update it as soon as they can so I tried a new approach, I asked them if instead of getting my ds-261 over the phone, I could "do" the form with them over the phone? And guess what, the lady agreed and told me I would be invoiced for IV fees within a week, although I got the invoice in just a little bit over 24 hours!

Also, I called the regular 0700 number.

I like your ingenuity lol. Sometimes it takes that to get somewhere with your case. Persistence is paying off.

We will be at their mercy when they review our documents but hopefully they will do so in a timely manner.

After this phase, onto the next one.

I appreciate the updates and we will keep at it until it is over.

You are welcome, I saw your kind word in another post.

Haha. Yes. Gosh I am so ready to move on to the next stage now. We have been away from our loved ones for far too long now. But, we are getting there. The NVC has been good to us till now, hopefully it will continue doing so. Hoping for no checklists and just a quick case complete! Now I am just waiting for my DS-260 to become available so I can quickly fill it out. I have already filled out a sample. :)

Hoping it will become available by Tuesday!

Did you finish up with everything too Shams?

Really hope you get done with the NVC soon too! :)
