Sep 4th 2014: Filed I-130 petition as an LPR

Nov 24th 2014: I took my oath and i became a US Citizen

Dec 5th 2014: I faxed, mailed and called USCIS to UPGRADE my Case to a USC filling for am immediate relative.

Dec 25th 2014: I received a letter from USCIS asking me to fax a copy of my naturalization which is I did before.

Dec 26th 2014: I faxed a copy of my naturalization, copy of NOA1.

Jan 28th 2015: I called USCIS to ask about my upgrade, and the NO SENSE customer service doesn't know anything

Feb 4th 2015: I got an email that my case was transferred to local office for an interview.

Feb 24th 2015: I had a INFOPASS and they told me this interview about my Ex-Wife.

May 19th 2015: another INFOPASS asking why is it taking all this time to schedule an interview.

​May 30th 2015: I contacted Congresswoman and she contacted the USCIS los angeles office on my behalf and she asked me to wait 30 days

June 25th 2015: I received an email from the Congresswoman that i was scheduled for an Interview on July 6th

June 6th 2015: I had a interview and my case was approved.

June 8th 2015: I got an email from USCIS that my case was transferred to the NVC

June 8th 2015: I called USCIS to find out that my case was never upgraded from LPR to USC

July 14th 2015: NVC received case

July 14th 2015: I emailed and mailed a Copy of naturalization and the NOA2 to the NVC to upgrade my petition to USC

Aug 3rd 2015: Case # & Invoice ID # received via phone. (Case# assigned same day)

Aug 4th 2015: DS-261 available on website\Submitted DS-261

Aug 5th 2015: AOS Invoice available on website/Paid AOS Invoice

Aug 5th 2015: NVC accepted DS-261 (Confirmed via phone)

Aug 6th 2015: Paid IV fee

Aug 7th 2015: all fees show PAID.

Aug 7th 2015: Filled DS260 and completed.

Aug 7th 2015: I called NVC and they told Case still show F2A.

Wow that was quick! What was the checklist for?

I never received a checklist. I checked the website yesterday at 9 pm and the AOS changed from paid to N/A.

Don't worry, as long as you able to proceed. Sometime you will get the confirmation in the end of the process. Send the package and cheer up.

Dont worry, as long as you can move forward with NVC process, proceed with it. Send your package soon. Normally you might get the upgrade confirmation with your case completion. I hv seen a lot.

AS per your timeline you are not with the current PD, bt you are able to proceed. So your case is current and only the type is not changed. So enjoy.. From my experience you dont need to worry much about NVC, they will surely process your request.

In our case, I am temporarily in Canada and I used my Canadian address as my present address when my filed and now I have my case number it's saying MTL**********. I didn't even choose to be interviewed in Montreal as I'm nor eligible. Now I have to b correcting it. The agent says I can still go ahead and choose my agent but it says" follow the instructions sent to you by NVC". How do we proceeds? We haven't gotten the actual package yet

Hi guys, how's everyone doing?

So we already submitted the DS-261 and paid the AOS fees, although it is still in process. But we have all the documents ready and jst finished preparing the packets which we will mail out on Monday. We haven't received a welcome letter yet though. Hoping for no checklists and a case complete soon!

PS. We aren't waiting for the welcome letter. That won't create any issues, right? Everyone keeps on telling me it won't, but I've just gotten a bit paranoid about this whole process.

Guys, we have come up with an issue and would appreciate any help.

So last night I tried to check if our AOS fee status had changed to "PAID", and it was then that I realized the NVC people have entered the petitioner, i.e. my husband's MIDDLE name incorrectly. It is just a tiny bit of spelling mistake, they have just added an extra letter by mistake, but what should we do now? We know it is definitely their mistake, since we had the perfect and correct names in our I-130 too, and in all the documents.

Should I call them and let them know about this? If yes, would it delay the processing of our case for days? Or probably even weeks? We are going to send the AOS and IV packages in on Monday.

Or should we just ignore it?

Any help would be appreciated guys. Thank you in advance.

Hello guys i have my case completed on june 30,2015 yet no interview has been scheduled for New Delhi consulate. I have called NVC every time they suggest me to simply wait as they can't provide me any idea they will schedule?? I don't even got any checklist, Can anyone suggest something? Did I need to call the NVC to process the DS-261? I called this morning and it appeared the agent seemed to confirm something but I did it on the website a week ago.

The AOS bill was invoiced but the IV bill was not invoiced. I was wondering what was causing the delay and it seems me not calling to have them processing did?

Hi Gurvinder, I am waiting for a Delhi interview as well...Our case complete was around a month after your CC date and I was told/read somewhere that it approximately take a couple of month so hopefully you should be getting the interview soon

You should check out Dwheels' thread for Case Completes to Interview Dates. The link is in the first post of this thread. You can look at the spreadsheet and see who else is waiting around for an interview date from India. It will you give you a great estimate on when you can expect yours to be scheduled.

I would suggest calling the consulate directly to see what the holdup is. Couldn't hurt.
