We took our trip overseas to visit hubby's family and were not hassled overseas nearly as much as we were at the POE here. The officer insisted that the extension letter was not the proper documentation.... Anyway, they detained hubby and confiscated my passport so I was unable to leave the area. We were separated. After about an hour they finally asked for the Greencard holder (hubby) and asked him why they were detaining him because we had all of his documentation in order. He agreed that the original officer was stupid for not knowing the extension letter and said that they were not supposed to have confiscated my passport either. He apologized for the inconvenience and we were finally able to go. It was just a pain because I was sick and needed to get home..... I would love nothing more than to file a complaint on that guy for being such an ignorant a-hole....

Sorry to hear that. At which airport did this happen?

sorry to hear that :( what's taking so long for you guys? I waited 9 months too :(

The only thing they told us from the inquiry we made was that it's pending security checks. We called shortly before we left on vacation and the guy said it doesn't look like we would have an interview and that he should have his card by sometime in June. No response as to why so long or even about security checks.

I thought that Vermont will work the whole month of May on July cases but I also hoped that after May 15th some August fillers will post their approvals but obviously no. There it is May 24th and I do not see any August Vermont approval or RFE.

Life feels like it's on hold right now, can't refinance a loan or look for a job or even think of booking any travels. Are July applications done at all

July applications don't have to be done so Vermont can start process August. Usually when 50% of the applicants in VJ get approve, some people from the next month post their approvals. What happened now-I do not know.
