Did the officer tell you any reasons why it was not approved?

We tried last week, but the officer efused, stating that's what the letter is for. He did say that another IO may see things differently....

We were trying to get the I-551 stamp, as we are traveling in May. A friend of ours was hassled last year trying to get home from Morocco, and we may have to stop there ourselves. He had the extension letter. We tried to get the stamp, to hopefully avoid being hassled, but the IO said no. Again, he said no, stating that the extension letter is the same thing, and since my husbands' letter is still valid, he would not give him a stamp.

The person I was quoting, was saying they were going to try and get the stamp, so I was just sharing our experience in trying to get one when the letter is still valid. I guess I wasn't very clear

Just got an email for my wife's case. "New Card Is Being Produced"

Can someone update our timeline please?

On February 18, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WACXXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us.

Date Filed : 08/24/2015

NOA Date : 08/25/2015

Bio. Appt. : 09/14/2015

Just got another email from USCIS

"On February 23, 2016, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number WACXXXXXX"

Quite a wait after the biometrics.

I'm hoping to hear something in the next week or so - judging by the timelines other people are showing in this thread (unless we get a request for more details).

So I went in for the info pass, it's nothing but a waste of time. I asked them with my expired green card, passport And extension letter, would that be enough to enter Mexico?

All she said was i could come back and give Mexico government a call

I wouldn't expect them to know that: Whether or not Mexico border control will let you in with an expired Green Card and Extension Letter is Mexico's own visa policy. Why would anyone at USCIS care to know that when they barely know their own sh#t?

On Trackitt.com, 2 people have been approved from last night till this morning: one of them filed at the end of July, the other early August, so we may see some approvals among those early August filers...
