Hey guys! I have a question. I did my Bio on 8/31 and since then I've been trying to add my receipt # online but keep getting the error message "My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered" I know I entered

the correct number but keep getting the same error. Is this normal for the case #'s to take this long in

getting updated online or do I need to call them because there may be an issue with my case.

You are using the number from your bio letter, right?

If so, it might just be that they did not scan your papers correctly into their online system. It happens and does not mean that anything is wrong with your case. I had the same problem back when I did my AOS, which was in "Case Not Found" status until the day it got approved. I would check occasionally but not worry too much about it if it does not show up. You have your NOA1 and your bio letter, so you are in their system.

You are using the number from your bio letter, right?

If so, it might just be that they did not scan your papers correctly into their online system. It happens and does not mean that anything is wrong with your case. I had the same problem back when I did my AOS, which was in "Case Not Found" status until the day it got approved. I would check occasionally but not worry too much about it if it does not show up. You have your NOA1 and your bio letter, so you are in their system.

I'm using the number from the Bio letter. I will continue to check it occasionally. Thanks HK12

Do they take your expired green card if you go to get a stamp in your passport? I think I read that somewhere. If so, does it cause any problems if you file for naturalization before the ROC is approved? You have to turn in your green card at naturalization correct?

06/28/2013 Checklist response sent for corrected DS-230 (I had my husband sign extra's just in-case)

08/02/2013 NVC requested a supervisor review on the checklist item over 20 business day window

10/30/2013 Interview

11/04/2013 Pick up Passport

It was fast, thanks. I think they expedited it, even though I didn't request an expedite.

I'm in the military on an overseas 1 year unaccompanied assignment and included a copy of my orders with an explanation of why we're currently not living together and also informing them of our upcoming move in Dec to another base...but I'm not deployed so didn't think I would get any preference for quicker processing.

Regardless, glad it's done (well, almost - not done until the card arrives and it has no errors). Couple more years, then citizenship and this entire process is complete!

Looks like California Center is approving May filers right now. So we are going to be approved around January?

Ugh so long. They used to be so fast (3-4 months).

5/13/2019 - Change of address request - Washington DC

5/15/2019 - Interview Scheduled for 06/20/2019

5/15/2019 - sent out a request to reschedule the interview

5/23/2019 - interview rescheduled to 06/26/2019

6/13/2019 - interview rescheduled to 07/13/2019

7/13/2019 - interview. Approved the same day, online status changed.

08/27/2019 - oath ceremony scheduled @ Alexandria court (name change) for 09/26/2019
