First of all, I'm a 50 year old female and my fiancé is 22 year old. We are madly in love and plan to have a great future together. Please wish us luck and don't judge us because of our age, that is only a number.

Our visa journey:

6/10/15 - Sent out I-129F package

6/16/15 - USCIS in Lewisville, TX received & accepted case & routed to USCIS California Service Center

6/18/15 - USCIS of California sent me a text that they received my case.

6/19/15 - Check was cashed

6/23/15 - NOA 1 received which is the I-729C

Hi, I was 19 when I came to US. My husband was 52 years old that time. He applied for K1 for me and I passed. Now we are married for almost 5 years. As long as everything is legitimate there would be no problem. I've known couple same as you guys, the guy only knew her less than a year and then she was issued a k1 visa. Goodluck!!!

Do you already have a child (even from a past relationship)?

Hi Apple 21, yes I do have a son from a previous marriage.

Goodie! I wish you all the best.

Bring as much proof as you can like pictures (taken with family, relatives or friends the better), chat/call logs, passport stamps for visits etc...

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

Congratulations on finding love. I am pretty much the same as you my fiancés interview is in 2 weeks. I will let you know how it goes. It is a shame how men older than their fiancés are not frowned upon but us women having younger men... well you know how that goes.. good luck to you.

I've found that it's not so much about age as it is about places in life. It is a factor when it comes to two people who are not at the same stage in life as far as ambitions, goals, wants, needs, and what is brought to the table. When those things line up accordingly them yes age is just a number.

I'm sure IOs have seen plenty of these types of relationships so it's nothing new. Country and custom norms may factor in somewhat.

Good Luck to you!!
