Probably.

Still, a drop in the ocean compared to the GDP or the cost of the Iraq war.

I seriously doubt that deporting all the illegal aliens living in the U.S. is going to

make any difference to our quality of life. Our society won't fall apart to be sure,

but it won't get perceptibly better either.

On the other hand, the humanitarian impact of a mass deportation on such a scale

would be devastating. Not to mention the actual costs of finding and deporting

10 million people.

I agree with what you said, if the US Govt. would spend even as little as 1/4 the amount of reources they have in the Iraq FUBAR into securing our borders , restructering our health care and reforming our eductaion then the economy would thrive, our nation would be secure and lives would be saved, and we would have more $$ to spend on Cleaning up the immigration problem.

I do not suggest Mass deportation I do suggest measures on continued investigation of companies who hire illegal immigranst, Prosecuting those, and NO public assisstance of any kind to those who are here illegally, then when criminals are arressted for other crimes and found to be here Illegally they should be Immediatly deported once they have served their time for the other crime. No leniancy no Amnesty, no Anchor baby petion for Illegal Criminal parents. Once deported they should not be allowed back in without waiting a 10 year ban, paying fines and back taxes.

It is An act of domestic Terrorism these Illegal Federal CRIMINALS are invading our nation, Ignoring our laws, stealing form our health care and schools, They are terrorists.

CHEW on that !

You're a f#cking idiot.

Steve and Jinky, there is no need for name calling brother. Picking word or sentence out of context is highly NOT recommended.

Addie, calling them terrorists are also a bit much in my opinion. I'll stick with: illegal immigrant.

I don't like to resort to name-calling but Addie Badvibes has made a string of slanderous posts that expose his obvious bigotry. I find his above statement outrageously dishonest and moronic...to say the least.

I agree for the most part. However, sometimes, some things are said that require an appropriate response and it that case I felt it was called for. He's entitled to his opinion, but my opinion of him is in direct relation to the outrageousness of his opinion. In light of our recent history with terrorism, the label 'terrorist' is not something we should apply so loosely and get away with it.

Terrorists? Goodness, imagine what someone is if they cut you off in traffic. At least second-degree murder, I'd imagine. ;)

P.S. Again, if BoA's minimal documentation policies would allow an illegal immigrant to get a credit card, their documentation policy surely will accept the paperwork a green card holder has. Hinty hinty hint.

mawilson,

You ke it sounds as if Civil offense is nothing serious. It is a CRIME to enter my country ILLEGALLY buddy! Last time I check, what is felony: Felonies are considered the most serious types of crimes, and each state has different punishments for these offenses. A standard definition of a felony is any crime punishable by more than one year in prison or by death for capital offenses like first-degree murder. Unlike misdemeanors, defendants convicted of felonies serve their sentences in a state or federal prison rather than a local, city or county jail. Additional criminal procedures apply with felonies, and the right to a court-appointed lawyer if the defendant can’t afford one is one of the rights guaranteed in felony cases. Also, whether or not the defendant has to appear in court for various parts of the criminal justice process also depends on whether or not he or she is being charged with a felony.

Whatever happens, these illegal immigrants are FELONS. We have enough home-grown felons here, why put up with the imported. You can be clever with your words and call those illegal immigrants what you want (undocumented migrants???), they are entered my country Illegally and do not deserve any rights/benefits provided by my tax dollar. Those businesses who do business with felons need to be punished, and as a consumer/taxpayer, I did stop using BOA for this reason.

so r u gonna stop shopping in grocery stores? stop using cellphones and buying cars?

Yes I will stop shopping in grocery stores where they employ these felons.

Cellphones? Why wouldn't I use my cellphone? Give me a convincing fact why I shouldn't use my cellphone.

Buying car? In fact we just bought a brand new SUV. So that answers your question.

no.. you said u will punish businesses who conduct again, business with those 'felons'.. so.. they don't have to be employed by them.. illegals buy groceries from somewhere, and cellphone companies don't check if a SS# someone shows is fake or not.. so if a dude gets a fake SS# or ID, they can get a cellphone withouth a problem.. so again, are you gonna stop buying groceries?

Pedroh,

You and I both know we are not qualified or trained to check for id's if someone decides to break the laws (i.e. illegal immigrants), left alone some cashier at the local grocery or the cellphone rep at the national cellphone carrier. Two things will happen: get caught and get punished, OR didn't get caught and get on with their outlaw lifestyle.

The use of fake or authorized id to defraud a business is at no fault of the business, but it falls back to the unintended user who determines to lie and cheat the system. By all mean, I won't stop shopping, nor using my company's blackberry cellphone, it's free. I am not an unreasonable person where I will not punish a business by not spending my money because of these illegal immigrant who intentionally defraud the busines by using fake id's. BOFA willing and knowing bend the rule and lower its standard and business ethic to cater to the illegal immigrant = felons. My take on the issue: no business for BofA until they recognize the core customers are NOT the illegal immigrants who they try to make a buck or two...

In all honesty, you suggest I should yield the the power of the illegal immigrants in my own country, stop shopping, stop using cellphone stop my life???? Dead wrong, they should fear us, the citizen of this country, The USA. Don't like our immigrantion laws, leave!

Chuck,

Outraged at illegal immigration? I understand that. So am I.

What I don't understand is why we expect private corporations to do the job we pay the Federal Government (think April 15) to do.

Illegal immigrants are here. That's a fact. Who's job is it to stop them from coming and to deport the ones who got through? The Federal governments job. Not Bank of Americas.

Leave BofA alone and direct your anger at the slimeballs in Congress. That's who really deserves it.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

enablers need to be informed if they are advocates of illegal criminals then they are contributors towards the true cost of illegal immigration.
