Hello everyone,

I am a new member, but i visited here many times and read some of the posts.

I hope someone can help me with my dilemma about shots that need to be done for AOS.

I got here last Aug. but due to my pregnancy St. Luke's did not give any shots to me.

I gave birth and got some busy with my new born son who is 4 months now.

We are now applying for AOS but first I need to get a shot coz as far as I know it is also required for AOS.

So here are my questions....

1. What are the shots that needed to be done? we went to Immigration here in Alaska and they give me a list it has 11 shots.

2. How much does it costs for every shots?

Tnx in advance

I've been trying to get this question answered also. BUt my suggestion to you is follow the same schedule your child is going through more or less... ask you pediatrician or family doctor. Prices are steep in the Philippines. Also have your spouse ask a local doctor in Alaska what the vaccination schedule is for Alaska. THe Alaska schedule should be the same as the entire US.

First, you have to find a USCIS designated Civil Surgeon near the area where you live. He will fill up the I-693 and he should be able to tell you the shots that are required.

You will just probably get three shots ~ MMR, Varicella and Td. The 7 other vaccines (Polio, Influenza, HepaB, DPT, etc.) are not age appropriate so you should not receive them. Someone suggested going to a community clinic (equivalent of health centers in Manila) for the shots which you will get for free and just get a certification and present this to the Civil Surgeon so you don’t have to pay the Civil Surgeon a lot of money.
