So, I figured that before I order a new shredder, lemme take apart the old one and see if it's repairable......

And sure enough, there's a 7A christmas tree fuse in there that was blown out. Ordered it on Amazon. 5 bucks for 5.

And the bridge rectifier while I was at it.

See if changing these parts will get the thing going.

This thing saw 10 years of light use. But it's one of those pricier microshred ones.....

Replacement is like 2 hunnit bucks man......

Oh yes always take things apart before getting something new. What is the worse that can happen? It's already broke :P

Well, the thing is finished.

Keeps blowing the fuse, even steer I changed the rectifier. There's a short in there and I dunno where. That's the limits of my electronics repair skills....

Thanks. Dragged myself out to get a bowl of ramen. Should be ok tomorrow .

Mmm....now ya got me craving ramen.....

But I really gotta get to the office.....
