07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Was able to hit 2 GSs & still make the dry-cleaners before Many a.m., propitious man.

All GSs & ESs were present as advertised, second week in row, realistic man.

Even those where we bought nothing were worth visiting, gratifying man.

The take, see man:

-- huge (Many' x Many') floor mat of the United States = $2, steal man

-- fluffy bath-towel = $1, steal man

-- Many (2x2x2+2+1) warshcloths, 2 bath-towels, new leather belt, 2 nearly full cans

black ground pepper = $Many ($2x2), steal man

-- Army truck & Lightning McQueen puzzle book for Mini-B. = buck-&-a-half, fair man

-- full can white lithium grease, full can silicone spray, Many (2+1) Rubbermaid

hotmats = $Many.Many ($2+1+half of half a buck), steal man

Total = $Many.Many ($2x2x2+2+2-half of half a buck), whee man

Returned to casa in time to relieve Mrs. T-B. of wee-man duty, she and he man.

Mrs. T-B. went to rental casa to supervise minor handyman work, fix-up man.

Handyman then came to real casa for plumbing jobs, necessary man.

Got new kitchen faucet installed for only $Many ($2x2x2x2x2+[2x2x2]), steal man.

Handyman had new faucet left over from previous job for $Many ($2x2x2+2), whee man.

Mrs. T-B.'s hairballs removed from her bathroom sink, Many tons man.

Entire bill just over Many (2+1) figures, steal man.

Got massively needed nap, with cat, we and miu zzz man.

Reluctantly awoke in time to retrieve dry-cleaning, efficient man.

Reluctantly mowed lawn, enough daylight man.

Mower nearly but never died, propitious timing man.

A Many-sweatband job, hot stuff man.

No hormigas del fuego*, no bite us man.

Still nearly destroyed our body, much pain & stiffness man.

Mrs. T-B. took Mini-B. to park, she and wee man.

We recovered in time to give in to beg-job to be taken to CiCi's Pizza, softie man.

We ate like a pig, our policy at buffets man.

Played with & read Lightning McQueen book to Mini-B., we with/to wee man.

Somehow warshered/baked kitchen rags/mowing attire/GS purchases, ouch man.

Somehow dished the warsher, ouch man.

Cat has deposited wrapper at our feet, expectant miu man.

Cannot possibly fold baked laundry, not tonight man.

Must somehow de-dish the warsher, job of husband man.

Must somehow play Wrappers with cat, good cat-daddy man.

Cat has just cut a world's-champion fart, egad man.

Cat prep** zzz man.
