I dried out and started folding our pool. I'm not done yet but my legs are killing me.

Yes they are. I would love an in ground pool. It's on my dream board along with a huge kitchen

Yes that's a nice size.

Mine is 23,000 gallons. It took me a few years to figure out that most of the chemicals sold by the pool company were household chemicals for a fraction of the cost. To increase water alkalinity I use the large bags of harm and hammer baking soda sold at Costco. To bring the PH down I use liquid muriatic acid purchased at Home Depot. To increase hardness use salt that is used to melt snow. The pool companies use these items and their labels are the scientific names for them. My pool has been crystal clear using these items with a DE filter

I got the chemicals down better this year. The heat here is hard on the pool. When we were still up in Canada I only needed to shock the pool once a week and nothing else.

Here I need to do so much more.

No I meant that was all I had to do. No algae, no ph, nothing but shock it.

I was actually lucky this year fighting algae was not too bad. I think it was the fact that we had a later summer and it wasn't 115 for a month straight. That or I finally got the pool balanced right.

As soon as I figure out where I wanna live...
