wait - where does yer house-mate fit in on all of this? Is she gonna be absent? or her workers not show up ?

Man, if'n it were me, I'd join the protest, wearing short shorts and a cut-off t-shirt, just to show my support. I'm down to 190 these days, and no longer laughably fat :D

You dum , Tiff (because of me) is a fully licensed cosmetologist, in NY, that;s the "mother" license for the beauty trade, she can open whatever salon she wants.

1. Previous owners did this to little effect, sigh man.

2. The entire front of the casa has sagged forward again despite their piers, see man.

There was an inch-wide crack in the outside brick 2 years ago, see man.

This is exactly what they fixed previously, see man.

Many. See above, see man.

Where's the +Many button, huh man? Rested Ontarklar! Rested, RESTED Ontarklar!

Forthright Ontarklar! Forthright, FORTHRIGHT Ontarklar!

Tooth Many needs to understand that she's more valuable to VJ as a contributor than a lurker, she ma'am, and has been missed in this thread, si man.

a 1 story house is nothing to repair (you useless feminine male).....especially in a non-freeze area.

1- find out why it's sagging, fix that problem.

2- Fix the damage caused by the sag.

an inch gap in a brick facade is easily repaired either by epoxy, or chiseling away some bricks and replacing them.

But if you don't stop the house shifting, the cracks will come back.

Speaking of crack.....where's Darklar......

Like I said, a 1 story house has practically no weight to it. It's easy to lift with supports and jacks, "Slow" is the key.

you forgot that most o Houston is 2 to 8 feet above sea level without real bedrock

and

it's different foundation problems here, compared to the northern marches.

i can understand that it's fun to slam on TBoneTX about most things, and even this thing, but if'n you not understand about subsidence, flooding and slab movement here,

could you, would you,

at least

learn about the foundation repair work done by foundation repair companies in Houston? I ask, cause yer severely messed up on nomenclature and labels for this type o work.

I know more about this than you think.....

The thing should have had pile driven anchors, or a 2 foot wide footing 2 feet deep. A 6 inch slab is not a good foundation, requires constant repair.

1. She doesn't, duh.....

2. SIL is on strike.

3. Man I hate these illegal hordes from China.....

1. so she's not a shop owner, 'employing' fooks on 1099s like the rest of the horde?

2. so SIL is sitting at yer house eating yer food, using yer internet for a live cam show? OUCH !

3. I know, right? I suggest getting a big bottle of apple cider vinegar, loading a water pistol, and shooting em in the neck. They like to rub the neck often, regardless, so it gets messy and stays messy. Yay Messy !
