Thanks alot!!! Yes ok ill update all of you what will happen next after i file the crba.. Btw do we file the crba here in the us? Or in manila us embassy?? Which is better?

Passports don't necessarily prove anything either, because US citizens are often not stamped when entering the US, and you could have had passports from other countries, etc. It's best if you have evidence that places you in the US at specific points in time, like appointments, school/work records, etc.

The thing is in the form they are asking which dates i am in the us.. And im afraid i cannot get any paperworks other than my passports to prove my residency..

I did. I apologize coz theres alot of things going through my head right now.. Thanks alot btw this is really a big help for us..

If we're going to file it in usem manila i need to have an affidavit (power of attorney) granting my sister to take over the paperworks of my kids then..

It needs to be 5 years in the US before the child's birth, including 2 years in the US after you turned 14 and before the child's birth. Do you meet the 2 years after age 14 condition?

Born out of wedlock is okay; in this case you would have to agree to some things before the child turns 18 in order for the child to be a citizen from birth. When you apply for the CRBA, they will give you some forms to sign which will satisfy those requirements.

You sould not apply for a Certificate of Citizenship with N-600. You should apply for a CRBA and a US passport. With a CRBA, there is no point to also have a Certificate of Citizenship.

Is it really before the childs birth or they are asking for my total residency?

Ok the 5 year requirement of being in the US how do you think you have It covered ? Outline the dates as best you can ... do you have any old records of flights? Were you attending school in US during that time ?

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Hi,

Go get your high school and middle school transcripts. Those will show your 5 years presence in the U.S. before your children's births.
