We got texted that his oath's been scheduled, but his IO said it probably wouldn't be until January at the interview. Can't wait to see when it's at!

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that I had my interview today and that even though it went well I was given an RFE (form N14) for two reasons.

1- List of trips outside the US: I had listed my trips but there just wasn't enough space on the actual form to put the trips I took with my previous job (I was a flight attendant). My airline was exclusively flying from NY to Paris so I just counted the amount of days I was in Paris and I attached all my rosters with all the flight numbers, which showed the dates I left the country and the dates I came back (with flight numbers). Each trip was 24 hours most of the time. The officer who interviewed me said that he needed me to include all the trips to Paris in the format of the N400 form (date you left US, date you came back...). So I'm going to have to go through all my rosters and do that.
He also asked me for copies of all the stamps in my passport which I believe I submitted with for the removal of conditions.

2- More proofs of marriage with US spouse.
I didn't resent evidences that I had already sent for the ROC. I sent documents which were issued after I submitted the ROC. The officer asked me to send proof of marriage from the moment I became a resident (so back in 2012). He wants leases, joint bank account statements, utility bills, tax return transcripts.

He gave me a month to put that together and send it. I'm going to do it but I'm a little frustrated as I thought they had all the evidences combined (from ROC to N400), but it seems that they don't.

The good thing is that I don't need to take the interview again since the officer gave me a form N-652 and checked a box that says that I "passed the tests of English and US history and government".

Anyways. I'm going to work on it but I wanted to share my experience since It seems to be pretty unusual.

That's funny, because L's IO gave him a hard time that we re-submitted all of our evidence from the ROC! (Granted, L waited so long to apply for citizenship that his interview was 5 days before his 5 years of being a green card holder, so maybe that just wasn't a concern to them anymore, as he was practically at the point in time that he could apply on his own?)

I am just about to submit my N-400 application tomorrow and I have a question, I have the 1040A IRS Income tax return forms from the past 3 years but I don't have the Tax Return Transcripts from the past 3 years. Will that be fine? It is either/or? Please let me know. Thansk

Had my interview today, went very smoothly. The officer was thorough and efficient. He went through every single question on my application, asking if all the information was correct. Then we did the test. He wanted to see some additional documents (glad I brought them), and then said I was approved. He left the room for a minute and then returned with my letter of invitation to the Oath ceremony, which will be on December 11.

I was relieved that it was not any later than that date, because I have a trip to Canada planned for December 20th. That gives me about a week to get a U.S. passport. I think I will visit a passport center to get same day service. There isn't one immediately in my area, but there are 3-4 within 2 hours drive.
