I am a new member. My AOS application has been transferred from Chicago to CSC and currently still pending.

Time Line:

11-06-2006 - sent AOS in Chicago

11-16-2006 - received my Receipt Number

11-22-2006 - received Biometric Notice

12-02-2006 - Biometric taken

12-08-2006 - received Transfer Notice to CSC which says in order to speed up processing.

After I received my transfer notice to CSC, I don't have any idea about my AOS application, except that everytime I checked my case status, it is still pending to where it has been transferred. One of my friend, got already her GC a month ago that she just submitted her application a week earlier than mine. So, I was worried.

02-22-2007 - i registered in USCIS online and I found out my AOS was last updated on 01-20-2007, but I am confused what does it means?

Any insights from anyone who undergone the same AOS application experience, is highly appreciated.

I think this is a good thing, just be patient a little while longer! my AOS case got transfered to CSC and it was pending for a good few weeks at least, from what I remember, then I got an email, saying my GC was being processed, I didn't have a interview or anything, from what I've read on this site no one has had an AOS interview with CSC, so I think you should get a email soon saying your card is in production, hang on in there!

Hi Lisax!

Don't compare how fast your friends case went with how long you can expect your case to take. There have been scads of people who filed months after we did and are long approved while we are still waiting. I'm not trying to dash your hopes, but while CSC does seem to process cases fast, there is always the chance of your case being stuck in the FBI namecheck. If it is then it doesn't matter how fast CSC is, you will not be approved until that namecheck comes back.
