I just had to post today - there are only 2 more weeks until I'm back in Brazil with Eliton!! This has been a long process and almost 8 months (we're not used to that) since I've seen him.

Now we have a pre-honeymoon planned in Rio de Janeiro and our interview on March 13th. Thanks for all of your help and support.

You will have your interview date any time now! I suggest e-mailing the consulate and trying to get it that way. One person told me they don't do that - only over the phone - but the next day I was e-mailed our interview date.

17 more days until the interview that will change our lives! It's been almost 4 months since I was with Fernanda. But I'll be returning to Brazil on March 24 to travel home to Texas together with her on March 26. I hope ya'll get to talk at the Interview. She is expecting you! Just sent all her forms, evidence, etc this morning. I cannot travel for the March 13 interview because of the Daylight Savings Time changes and the potential impact to many of my company's internal systems. This is almost like a mini Y2K! So, ya'll have a blast!

SKOL???? Sorry people.... I would rather pay 10 Reais for a single can of Guinness!! The aftertaste of Skol resembles too much that of Keystone Light that spent two weeks in the trunk of my 1994 Buick Century when I was 18.... in the hot Iowa summer! (But yes, I drank all of it!)

Have a Xingu instead.... it is kind of sweet, but much better imho.

We have foreign beers in Brazil! You don't HAVE to drink Skol or a similar beer. I do enjoy a nice Brahma Chopp, much better than an actual bottle of beer, have you tried that?
