Is anyone else in this situation? My fiance has some documentation for a few of the vaccinations, she knows she has received other vaccinations (when she was younger) but no documentation for it. What does the "embassy doctor" do in this situation? Do they give her the vaccinations again?

How long does the medical usually take? I'm also doing a K2 for our 15 month old baby, has anyone had any experience doing a medical for a young baby? how long does that take as well?

Our interview is on the 6th.. due to travel reasons, we're only able to do the medical on the 2nd/3rd.. is that pushing it?

When there is no record of vaccinations, a blood test is performed to see which vaccines are needed. The needed vaccines are then administered.

In our case, for the vaccinations we didn't have records for, my wife decided to get the vaccine again in order to prevent delays on her visa process.

Many have been & there are several ways to deal with it.

She will go to one of the two hospitals where the medical will be done within about 4 to 5 hours. Let them take care of this issue. Or some people go to a local doctor to have the shots to save money. There are follow up shots but these can be done in the USA later.

My daughter did the medical with me but she was 9. The baby will be with her & be taken care of at the same time.

Your dates should work. In my time we left with the report in hand. Have her make sure they can & will do that. Some with recent experience can help here.

You will feel even better when she tells you she has called the hospital to make sure she totally understands AND that they will issue her the medical report at the end so she can hand carry it to her interview.

I caution you again about this critical issue because I think I have seen people that at least thought the hospital had to mail it. There is a huge time difference as I am sure you know. A mistake could cause her to sit & wait for it to arrive & for another interview .

Ok she called today and made an appointment, I will tell her to remember to not leave without picking up the medical report!!

Good & I am just trying to help here. Did they tell her she would be given the report? I worry because someone on V J said in the past the hospital insisted it had to be mailed. I think that was just a Thai mistake in understanding but I wasn't there either.

They didn't mention anything about that, but I did just tell her about not leaving the hospital without the medical report in her hands. Thanks for the heads up!
