Hi all,

I am posting to tell my story, and to ask for advice at the same time

I got married to a USC 11/2005, and on 01/05/2006 I applied for adj of statuts from F1 to resident alien in Dallas TX, using the DORA. from that day, the whole journey was bumps and frustration...

I did not receive my Biometrics appt till May to be done on June2006...and by the way I never received the 90 days famous notice thing.

on August I got another letter asking for more evidence to establish a bona fida marriage! which I sent in Sept06.

October, I got an info pass to ask about the statuts of my case , and I was told that my FBI name check came back in July, and that my case is waiting for a decision from the Adj Officer...

On December my wife asked my senator to see what's taking so long, he answered us saying that the USCIS is gonna make a decision whenever the case reaches the Adj Officer.

Can someone advise me what should I do now? I feel helpless and frustrated.

any insight?

thank's

You have two Senators and a Congressional Rep, I would use all three

You may also consider sending a letter to the ombudsman.

Thanks for your reply, I did use one senator, as I did not know I could use them all at the same time. I contacted the Ombudsman on Jan they said if I do not get an answer from the USCIS within 45 days to contact them. one day before the 45 days passed the local office sent me a letter saying they need an additional 60 days to make a decision !

I guess I have to wait till the end of the 60 days now :(
