Sorry but I stand by my response. There is absolutely nothing that anyone can do to make AP go faster, and that includes congressmen and senators.

They can get you a status update, but that's all.

You're right... Nothing can make AP go faster but it is nice to be able to get updates.

So I contacted the senators office on Friday july 24, 2015 and today when I checked my status it was updated to READY. I really hope this is a good sign.

So I contacted the senators office on Friday july 24, 2015 and today when I checked my status it was updated to READY. I really hope this is a good sign.

I think it's a good sign - a visa is close for you!!

I am waiting for our status to change to READY, then back to AP and READY again. But since yours is going to be immigrant visa (whereas mine will change to nonimmigrant visa) yours may update to good news soon!
