Sorry to be clear. My fiance needs police records from every place he has lived. He is not from UAE but has been living/working there for the last few years. ARe the links you shared where he needs to go and what he needs to do for this specific purpose. Thanks sorry for being so specific.

My husband says go to the biggest police station on Union St..it cost 210 dirham and takes four days. The good news is that it is in English so you won't need any translation.

If he has lived in other countries, he will need to contact each country's embassy to find out how to get a police certificate from that country which is not always possible.

What are they other countries your fiance has lived in?

I wrote quite a long post on this a while back...

Note that due to the difficulty of obtaining these (as you'll see from my post above) the DoS advises consular officers to issue a waiver for UAE police certificates if the person is no longer in the UAE. But note that this is just advice, and the consular official may insist on one (i know someone who was told they must obtain it, but they had spent many years in the UAE).

Of course my experience relates to obtaining it from outside the UAE (since I had left 2 years previous). If he is still in the country or is willing to return, things are easier.
