Hello Fellow Journeyers,

After waiting more than 11 months to hear a response for my wife's green card we received a Request For Evidence letter. I have a few questions about it and would be extremely grateful for any help! We were requested to send in the G-325A the biographical information because we had forgotten to sign it!

1. Do we just need to sign the original and send it in or do we need to update the form with new employment and address etc. and send it in that way?

2. Do we need to put a cover letter or just send the form in as is?

3. Anyone have an idea how long after it may take to get a decision?

Thank you for all your help! Visajourney is a thousand times better than the incompetent workers at the USCIS customer service helpline.

1. If you have changed your employment and moved to a new location, it's better to submit a new signed G325A since this has to reflect your current and past information.

2. It's always better to put a cover letter so that as soon as they open your package, they know what's that for. Just mention that you are submitting this for RFE with any number if assigned to the RFE.

3. From few weeks to few months based on the updates in several forums.

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

Original form signed is fine unless things changed.

You are requested to place the RFE letter on top, no 'cover letter' is needed.

Consulate Received : July 30,2014 Transfer to right embassy complete.

Interview Result : AP , requesting another PC (not expired) and certified divorce decree (was submitted)Stokes interview via phone for petitioner 4 hrs after interview.

Oct 23 email notification visa approved.
Visa Received : Nov. 3 , 2014 VISA IN HAND.

AOS send : May 12, 2015, received May 14, 2015 USPS priority

RFE response : June 26, 2015 returned with a boat load full of financial evidence.

UPDATE: July 5, 2015 updated on all 3 cases, RFE received June 30, 2015.

Service request : Aug 12, 2015, letter received that it will be processed within 90 days from receipt of RFE.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Renewal EAD in production notification text and online, expedite successful 4 days after RFE request response was faxed, Aug25mailed,Aug29received.

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

Also shouldn't my wife's EAD been denied if we did not have a signature on the form?

And any idea why we got the letter from Virginia if we live in Louisville and have since we applied? Would our case be processed there or have they just not forwarded it yet?

On what form ? Did you forgot to sign the EAD form too or just the g325a you were RFE'ed for ?

An RFE will not 'deny' the EAD, only a denial of the I-485 will invalidate the EAD also.

An RFE will not 'deny' the EAD, only a denial of the I-485 will invalidate the EAD also.

No we just forgot to have her sign the G325-a. We got her EAD like 8 months ago and I guess it took this long just to find out we forgot a signature. I'm hoping once they get it they will be ready to approve but I am slightly concerned that our case appears to be in Virginia and not Louisville.
