My husband arrived last July 4. At POE he informed the officer about my change of address (I am the petitioner). My question is, does that ameans that BOTH SS card and Greencard will be delivered to the new address. My main concern here is the SS card. Thank you so much in advance for your reply.

did you inform immigration about your change of address?

not sure they would believe him

they will send the green card to your address listed and I believe these documents are not suppose to be forwarded

For any green card holder, if your address in the US changes, you are required to report it to USCIS within 10 days of moving. It is easy to do, just use this link:

https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do

Once your spouse has updated his address, they will send the green card there. Do not, under any circumstances, rely on verbal communication at POE or any other point as your only change of address notification.

Also, I don't know how they decide where to send the SS card. My case was like many, many others where they never actually requested the SS card request until we visited the local Social Security office in person. After that, we had the card mailed to our current address within a week.

I will worry more about the green card then the ss card if I were you, You can always go to any social security office and applied in person for the ss card. However With the green card it might be a little harder then that to get it replace. You should call the USCIS and ask them if they have your new address i

Don't wait for the SS card if you need it now. Just visit your nearest SS office and apply. More details are here.

Did you register your new address with USPS? If yes, then they will forward the SS card and GC to your new home.

But if the SS don't arrive within this week, go to the SSA office and apply. Bring passport and original NSO BC.

Regarding the GC, did you indicate the new address at ELIS?

You may want to contact SSA about the change of address

Completing a change of address with USCIS does not update SSA. ;)

The green card will NOT be forwarded to a new address. I am pretty SSA has the same restriction.

I'm referring to the FORWARDING MAIL option at USPS.... not the AR-11.
