Medical exam and interview Manila

Just thought I would share our experiences in Manila. Stayed at Cherry Blossoms Hotel in Ermita, very close to St. Lukes. The place was a dump, bugs and not clean but we made due for the 8 days we were there. The medical exam wasn't too bad. I arrived with my fiancee at 6 am and there was a fairly big line but they let you inside right away. I could stay with my fiancee as much as I liked. The first day lasted about 6 hours and we went back at 7:30 am the second day and it lasted about 2-3 hours. We had the interview 5 days later and we arrived at the embassy around 6am for a 7:30 appointment. We were let in immediately and had to wait about 5 hours to get the interview which lasted less than 10 minutes. You can see which slip is put in the application, ours said "approved'.

We changed to a nice hotel in Pasig and waited for the visa to be delivered. We got it 5 days later. All in all it went much quicker than I had expected, just a lot of waiting around.

We entered the U.S.A. through Honolulu and that was pretty easy also. Just be sure to have your chest X-Ray in your carry-on luggage because they keep that at immigration.

We are very glad to finally start our lives together here and we found visa-journey to be very helpful in the process.

Good luck to everyone--------------------------------

Allow me to answer that as I'll be applying for removal of condition myself.

After you arrive in the US and get married, you will apply for Adjustment of Status (AOS) to get your green card. If your AOS application is approved before your 2nd wedding anniversary, you will get a Conditional Green Card (which is valid for 2 years). 90 days before your conditional green card expires you will have to apply for removal of condition to get a 10-year green card.

08/17/08: Mailed N400 to TSC
